seventeen - XVII

Nearly two weeks had passed after the incident with Bajis death and Kazutoras arrest. Everyone seemed more or less recovered from the sudden death. Even though you can't even recover within only two weeks.

I already texted Emma if she wanted to go out today but she told me Mikey would be taking her out. Me and Takashi were back on good terms, I told him I took on a job and the first thing he did was hire me as a babysitter for his little sisters.

"Have fun" Was what he said with a grin and took off. Then I'm at his home, trying to tame the little devils he calls his sisters. Having to play hero with Mana while Luna thankfully was satisfied enough, sitting in front of the TV and skipping through random shows like a 26 year old, unemployed - or with a bad job -, messy guy. "What a sight to see" I mumbled as I stared at what Luna was doing.

"Look here villain! Why are you getting distracted?!" Mana yelled and went forward with her paper sword pointed at me, hanging limp from her hand. Jumping at me. I messily caught her and fell backwards to the floor. I groaned in pain as the little kid, got up from in between my arms and built herself up on top of me, trying to find footing on my stomach. "Haha! I slayed the villain!" she triumphed. Then she started jumping "You see that Luna? You see that? I killed her! I actually beat her! She's a way a better villain than Taka-chan!"

Luna hummed in agreement, focused on the screen. This little kid was actually about to kill me if she kept jumping on my stomach. I was either going to throw up soon or my uterus was going to plop out. "Mana" I groaned "The hero of our time, now, get off please" I lifted her off my stomach. Taking deep breaths when I was able to again.

"Hey villain! Don't think you're better now! Just because you're stronger! Come here and fight me like a real villain! I'll show you the power of justice and friendship!" A sudden thought crossed my mind. Why would Mikey be taking out his sister for absolutely no reason? Though, it seemed as if Mana didn't want me to think that much. She roundhouse kicked me against the back of my head.

I held my head and snapped around to her, offended. Where the heck did she even learn how to perform a roundhouse kick?? Takashi is teaching these kids too much self defense. "I said come and fight me" I groaned "Okay heroine Mana" the girl got into a fighting stance and I decided I had enough playing hero. I grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up, whirling her through the air "Hey let me down! We aren't done yet!" She yelled.

But I just grinned "Now you're flying like a real hero!" she thought a bit and then a giant grin spread over her cheeks "Luna, Luna look! I'm a real hero now! I'm a real hero! I'm flying!" this time Luna was more interested. She turned away from the TV and looked at her 'flying' sister. "No fair! I want to be spinned too!" I carefully placed the youngest on the ground and took the elder instead. Now whirling her around in the air.

She cheered and screamed. If I do this every week at least once, I'll have more muscles than Draken within a month. "Luna is a hero too! Luna is a hero too!" Mana dizzily cheered. I spun Luna around, slowly slowing down and spinning her to the floor. The girl held her head in amusement and stumbled to the couch. Who knew little kids loved flying?

"Oh, oh! Mana, (Y/n),  look! It's a documentary about Coco Chanel!" Luna pointed at the TV jumping up and down. "Who's that?" Mana asked "That's that woman that made the Chanel brand! Taka-chan admires her! Don't you remember?" I chuckled to myself. Takashi admired Coco Chanel? "Why would Taka-chan admire her?" Mana continued asking.

"Because she's a fashion designer! And she was successful! Use your brain Mana!" Mana nodded "Ohh, so that's why Taka-chan likes her" then what's been bothering me this whole time finally became clear. It was Emmas birthday! But I needed to supervise these children...

"Luna, Mana, put on your warm clothes, we're going shopping and I need your opinions!" I decided. The girls cheered and ran to their room to change. I sighed as I plopped down on the kitchen chair. "Ahh I'm so happy I still remembered this" "Remembered what?" I nearly fell from the chair when I heard the voice coming out of nowhere.

"Sorry, if I scared you" Takashi laughed. "You-! Holy shit my soul left my body" I put my hand on my beating heart to calm it down a bit. "So? What did you remember?" he asked. "Emmas birthday, I can't believe I forgot it" Takashi laughed "Did you get her jacket done?" I groaned "Shut up, I tried but I procrastinated" he chuckled "Then what are you going to give her?" 

"That's why I told your sisters to get dressed, I'm going to get her a necklace but I still need to supervise those demons, seriously, you could've told me what Mana is like when she wants to play Hero. She's barely three years on this earth and is already trying to become my murderer" now Takashi doubled over with laughter "To be honest, I'm scared of her when she wants to play heroine" he said. Then I laughed too. 

"Go ahead and get that necklace, I'll take care of them" Takashi smiled "But I'm the baby sitter! You can't take over my job for me and then still pay me full price" I protested. "It's fine" "No it's not" he stared at me before speaking "Then I declare your shift as over now" he turned around but I could still see that shit eating grin on his face. "Go spend time with Emma" he said as he walked to his sisters room.

"She's out with Mikey today" I explained, walking after him "Steal her away from Mikey" he simply answered while putting his hand on the doorknob "I can't do that! He's even taking her out for once" Takashi chuckled "Isn't a part of love, wanting to spend time with each other? Are you trying to find an excuse to not spend time with her?" My mouth hung open in faux offense "Excuse me? I want to spend all the time in the world with her! Every second and every millisecond of our lives! I'm going to travel around the world with her, convince her to love me!"

"What about Draken?" I sighed "Well he can just get out of the picture" "What if he wont? What will you do if they end up married together, have a house and three kids? What if they travel the world together and the plans Emma made with you are all forgotten and buried as nothing but a foolish memory?" now I was really speechless. "I-... wow that hurts. What makes you think stuff like that?" I couldn't tell what he was thinking by his expression, since he was facing the door. 

"Nevermind it" Then he opened the door and greeted his siblings with open arms. "Go on before you're too late" he hurried me. "Uh alright then bye" I stumbled over my feet before actually leaving. Embarrassing but at least I actually left. What the heck was he trying to tell me?
