"What are you sewing?" I asked Takashi, my eyes fixed on the little bag I was making for Yasuda. "It's for Takemichi, cause he's finally part of Toman. He's in my division, so I wanted to make this myself" he mumbled concentrated. I hummed. "I'm nearly done anyways, only still doing the embroidery. What about you?" He asked. "I am doing this to perfection" I murmured.
I noticed Takashi putting his sewing things to the side and overlooking my work. "You're trying to hard to make the stitches perfect. It looks unnatural and sewed by a machine" he criticized. "It has something when it doesn't look that neat, try to chase that instead. I would've made you next president but sadly we're in the same grade and I was just better than you" he advised and I hummed "I'll correct you on your work next time too" I said before he left with a chuckle to see how the others are doing and give them advise.
Takashi and I were pretty much on the same level when it came to sewing. He started so he could make stuffed animals for his sisters and I learned with him to help him out. We often used to fantasize back then about becoming fashion designers together. It was fun and his sisters got new toys all the time. The only problem sometimes was running out of fabric but my mom always used to give us her old clothes that she didn't wear anymore so we could continue sewing.
Suddenly I heard the door being slammed open and Yasudas loud voice saying "Hold it Hayashi-kun!" Peh-yan is here again? "Are you trying to cheat the club leader out of his time again?? He's busy now so leave! What's with that dumb shirt anyway? Don't you know your stupid outfits always make the teachers suspicious of you??" I can't believed she said all of that in one breath. Poor Peh-yan.
"What's going on?" I looked up and put my work down so I could watch the drama better and more attentively. Takashi was standing there in his little leader jacket and a measuring tape around his shoulders. He wore it like that because he was convinced it makes him look more professional. And it does but it's still hilarious.
Since Takashi is president but we're nearly on the same level, I was vice president. It just didn't feel like that because all of the girls asked for Takashis help instead of mine. Damn simps. Only rarely I got asked for help but at least I wasn't fully invisible to them right? They all know me and Takashi are pretty close. I mean if you watch me for one whole day, it's pretty obvious. Takashi brings me to school, then we hang out together in school and talk in class. After school we either stay longer to finish up some projects or we go to his. I spent the majority of my time with him. One would be blind not to see we're close.
For some funny reason, none of these girls wanted to make me angry or get too close to Takashi, they have no clue about what our relationship is and honestly I think not telling them is funnier. Yasuda is one of the only ones next to Takashis friends that know, me and Takashi are just best friends. I don't know how, Takashi probably told her at some point.
Takashi turned to Yasuda to calm her down a bit and invited Takemichi in. Bored as I was, I stood up and looked at what the girls were doing and if they needed advise. After all I was the vice president. Or vice leader how some of them liked to call me. I stopped at Katous work. She was rather new to the club, only joined a few weeks ago with barely any experience and tended to get stuck in what to do next a lot. It's a pretty bad mix with her being too anxious to ask for help.
"You need help?" I asked and she shook her head. By now I knew that she actually did. "Look here, just put in pins for help. Holding it all together at once is hard. Always search the easiest way" I smiled and gave the black haired girl a pat on her shoulder before moving on. "What's up?" I asked the boys that blocked the door. "Hold on Takemitchy, it'll be ready in a sec" he smiled "Leader, could you check this too?" one of the girls asked.
"Why's Takemichi here?" I asked slightly confused. If I remembered right then he goes to another middle school. "I'll explain right away" Takashi said and went to help the younger students. "What'll be ready..? Is he making me something? Why'd he want me to come here anyway?" the blonde thought out loud. "Your gang uniform" Peh-yan said "Huh?" "Better appreciate it, Mitsuya has personally been working on your uniform" "Mitsuya-kuns making my...?"
Now I recalled "Oh that thing, yeah I wanted to help out but he was dead set on doing it all by himself. Really stubborn" I heard Takashi chuckle. "You're the first one other than the founding members, right Mitsuya?" Peh-yan looked at the lilac haired boy, concentrated on his work.
"For us our most formal wear is our gang uniform. This is my way of saying thanks, Takemitchy. For saving Draken on the battle of 8/3. And for snapping us back to our senses on Bloody Halloween, so I wanted to make damn sure that I'd be the one to make your uniform" How touching. "Thank you very much" Takemichi thanked him. "It's no big deal, I'm doing this cause I want to.." he dragged the last piece of cloth out under the sewing machine and smiled "It's done!"
"Try it on Takemitchy" he threw him the uniform he made. "Okay!" the blonde responded, catching it. "I can't wait for tomorrows meeting" Peh-yan grinned. I glanced to Yasuda and could see her angrily leaning against the doorway. She always acted as if she absolutely despised Hayashi but thinking back, I'm pretty sure she liked him this whole time, just didn't want to admit it to herself.
