"I don't see the point of truth anymore, it causes just as much heartbreak as lying." : Simon Van Booy

Lottie's POV

"Well what did you do?"

"Well what do you think I did?" I shouted back to George, my voice echoing through the empty warehouse.

"Good one" Sam sighed with a sense of sarcasm, referring to the fact I ran away from Luke in bio.

"Way to not make it look obvious Lottie" He said rolling his eyes.

"Well what did you expect me to do huh?" I shouted, standing up from the tatty chair and looking at them all.

All four pairs of eyes staring straight back to me.

"Lie!" Matt shouted back. The volume of his voice made me jump slightly.

"Like you've been doing for the past few months Lottie" Sam commented.

"You know that's the deal" Daniel announced, taking sides with the ultimate ring leader.

"Yeah, well I couldn't" The sentence began as a shout, but I was practically whispering the last word.

It was weird, this boy enticed me and for some reason I felt like I couldn't lie to him. Something about him was different to anyone else. It's a brand new face. Someone that could know the real me without being able to judge me.

"And why not?" Sam asked pulling me away from my thoughts and automatically my face turned back to his.

I couldn't even find an answer because I didn't know what to tell them, I didn't even properly know why myself. Like I just said, he wouldn't be able to judge, but there's something else, I just don't know what.

I shrugged in reply, stupidly thinking that would be enough of an answer for Sam.

"Well?" Daniel piped up, causing me to shoot a quick glare at him.

"I don't know"

"That's it?" Sam raised his voice making us all jump, totally not expecting it.

Again I couldn't even find the words in my mouth, I felt my body droop back into the old chair. I sunk into it, hoping to fade into the background.

"Lottie you're really finding it hard for me to think of a reason for you to stay in this gang" Sam mumbled, braking the few minutes of silents that had just passed over us.

I rolled my eyes at his obnoxious comment, typical.

"You know what Sam? Who makes you the leader of this gang anyway?!" I shouted, again raising myself from the chair.

He was taken aback from my comment. They all were, well apart from George. He never said much when they turned against me. He never did, we were too close and it worked vice versa.

"I'll see you back at school" I said picking my bag up from the floor, resting it on my shoulder, barging into Sam as I walked past him.

"This isn't over" He replied grabbing my wrist, stopping me from leaving.

I nudged myself out of his lock, remaining eye contact, "whatever."

I exited the doors and moped round the corner of the dirty grey walls.

The fact I was probably going to be faced with Luke again made me nervous. I ran out of school because of a simple question. I made the whole thing obvious.
