"I hope you have not been leading a double life, pretending to be wicked and being really good all the time. That would be hypocrisy." : Oscar Wilde

Luke's POV
I'd finally got ready for day two at my new school. I packed my rucksack and slipped my phone into my back pocket.
Last night I barely slept due to the incident that happened; I mean a girl attempted to be forceful and mug me but then told me to act like she shot me. It was weird, this new towns weird.
I've already received a text from my cousin, Ashton, and he's picking me up with his two mates Calum and Michael. I've met them before I came here, we used to hang out sometimes so I guess I could class them as my friends too.
I told them about last night, they kinda laughed at the fact it was a girl but there was nothing funny about it. It was weird.
The thing is, it wasn't just the situation that was running through my mind, it was that girl. She was intriguing and the annoying thing is, I'll probably never see her again.
The sound of Ashton's car horn echoed through my slightly open bedroom window, letting me know him and the boys were here.
I rushed down the stairs, dragging my backpack behind me, slipping on my favourite black vans when I reached the bottom step.
"Cya" I shouted through the house to my mum as I slammed the door behind me.
"Alright?" I asked as I approached the car, sending Calum and Michael a quick smile in the back seat of the car.
"Yeah, are you? I mean after that traumatic incident last night" Ashton giggled, starting his car and heading off to school.
"Have any of you been held gun point?" I scoffed as they all laughed at me.
"No but you could of made your way out of it bro" Mikey laughed from behind me.
"Right it was not that easy" I said turning back to face him, sending him a glare before turning back to the front.
"There was a car of boys behind her, for all I knew they could of had guns? And I told you guys I kept calm, it was just weird alright" I said leaning my elbow on the inside of the car door.
"Leave him alone boys, little Lukey is getting angry" Ashton antagonised.
He was always a little annoying because he'd always wind me up and sometimes I would do the same, but hey we're cousins, it's going to happen.
"So Luke it's day two at this hell whole, good luck" Calum laughed from the back as we all bundled out of the car.
"That's funny, this girl called it hell whole high yesterday, she was called Lizzie I think" I laughed to myself.
"My Lizzie?" Ashton smirked as he connected his hands with a girl that just approached us, which was in fact, his Lizzie.
"Yeah" I said giving her a quick smile which she returned.
We made our way into the crowded corridors, heading to our lockers.
I managed to open mine after a few seconds of getting confused with what the code was to get into it but I soon remembered.
After bundling my books into my locker and taking out the bio one that I needed, I shut the door and leant against it.
Just as I did something caught my eye. Long dark wavey hair, falling down the small petit girls back, something that I saw last night when the girl ran.
She turned to her side, talking to some boy. I studied her face, it was the same complexion as the girls from last night.
I stood back waiting for her to turn around so I could take a look at her eyes, to see if they were the same eyes I looked deep into last night.
She soon twirled around making my assumptions somewhat correct. Her deep brown eyes glistened the same way the pair of eyes did last night. It has to be her?
"Guys" I said to the boys, yet not taking my eyes off of this mystery girl.
"What?" They asked in unison.
"That's her, I swear that was her from last night, Charlotte" I replied, slyly pointing to the girl stood opposite me in the crowded corridor.
"What? She's called Lottie? No way, she's Lizzie's best friend. Trust me, you've got it wrong mate, that's not the girl" Ashton laughed as the other boys didn't even bother to look at her.
Why did she tell me her name was Charlotte?
It was obvious she was popular and they would have seen her around much more than me, hence why they aren't studying her face and her every move.
"You never know, she could have a double life"
The sound of the bell soon ran through the corridors, signalling us all to go to our first class.
"Bio" I said holding up my text books as I made my way to the lab only a few metres away.
I rolled my eyes at the thought of bio again, I mean what type of school gives someone bio, first thing, two mornings in a row?
I entered the room, taking the same seat as I did yesterday.
"Hi class, sorry I'm a bit late" The teacher said entering the room, juggling his books.
"So today we're going to choose lab partners for an upcoming project" He said placing his books on the desks and clapping his hands together.
He darted his eyes around the class, looking at every student in his presence.
"Luke seeing as it's your second day, you can choose your lab partner first" He said pulling me away from doodling on my text book. I nodded in agreement making him smile.
"Come up here then" I obliged his actions and stood at the front of the class.
I mirrored his previous movement, also darting my eyes around the class.
One person caught my eye, I soon remembered that Charlotte was in this class. Now do I call her Charlotte or Lottie?
"Er, I er, I pick Ch-Lottie" I stuttered but quickly correcting myself.
I decided to go for Lottie seeing as that's what Ashton called her and made it seem as if no one knew she was called Charlotte, if she even was?
She barely raised her face to look at me as she rolled her eyes, but it was seconds before she did a double take.
Her body froze in her seat, her eyes locked to mine.
"Is that okay Lottie?" The teacher asked interrupting what ever was happening.
"Er, yea-er-that's fine. Yeah that's fine" She stuttered at first but was then able to make herself more confident as we took her stare away from mine.
"Okay if you two go to the table at the back" We both nodded at his words before making our way to the stalls at the back.
Awkwardly we both sat down, she didn't look at me but I couldn't take my eyes of her.
"Lottie?" I asked causing her to look at me.
"Where were you last night Charlotte?"
