After running through endless muddy footpaths for what felt like forever with Luke still remaining strongly by my side, we finally reached his car and after slamming both doors due to the rush we were in, the sickening sound of the sirens soon faded away.

Both of our breathing was rather heavy, and somehow Luke managed to find some energy to speak.

"Where do you want to go?" Luke asked as he started up his car. I simply shrugged in reply, trying to get my mind around everything that had just happened, but Luke didn't give up.

"We can go any where you want princess." He asked in attempt to relax me, which worked. "To your house? To my house? We can run away if you like?" He asked gently. The last question caused me to laugh slightly at the way he can be so spontaneous.

"Not just yet Luke, we'll save that for when the police cars are right behind us" I sighed resting my head back on the leather head rest in his car.

"Where do you live?" He asked politely.

"Bondi road" I replied with a fast statement, knowing he would be amazed by what I said.

"What?" He rhetorically asked as he took a right, "Your family must be so rich to live on this street Lottie."

"Well I suppose we are quite a rich family." I laughed whilst Luke turned down to Bondi Road and I pointed to an upcoming house.

The car soon came to a halt in front of my house and Luke look amazed by the overwhelming sight.

"My assumptions were correct" He stated letting out a small laugh as I did the same.

I opened the car door and got out, waiting on the sidewalk for Luke to appear next to me as I slammed the door shut, but the window just slowly rolled down.

"Text me later, if you ever need to talk to me I'll be here ok-"

"What are you on about?" I asked with a nervous laugh, "You're coming in with me Luke. I need you right now" I admitted.

It was all very strange to me. Luke has only been at the school for over a week, he's still classed as the new boy, yet I've gained such a strong bond with him. So strong that I feel he's the only one I can talk to.

He flashed a nodded smile my way before getting out of his car and locking it quickly. "I'm sorry, I thought you may have wanted to be on your own"

"No, I really need you"

We both walked up the little pathway, our bodies remaining close to one another's as I opened the huge door. In the corner of my eye I could see Luke admiring the whole outside of the house, taking in every little detail.

As we both stepped in Luke's face grew bigger in awe, "Shoes" I practically whispered, signalling for him to take them off which he obliged.

Trying to make as little noise as possible I went to run up the stairs whilst gripping the golden polished hand rail.

"Luke" I called after him as I noticed he was still taking in his new environment. The sound obviously became noticed because just as Luke was going to follow me, my mother appeared from nowhere, completely blocking his path.
