It was midnight, and again, I was supposed to walk down the runway that I do practically every night. This time was a little different though, now, I was gonna be showing my own work.
"Are you ready?" My boss, Ross, asks me. I nod my head and look out to the crowd. Right now, I was wearing a dark violet dress with a heart neckline, and laced patterns on the bottom.
"Arie, time to shine baby!" Ross says enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes and put on my 'dazzling' smile. Before I made it out, I was held back by my mother and she smiled at me.
"Give them a show, darling, because this is your night." She told me. I nodded at her encouraging words and smiled.
I wasn't picked to be a model because I was sexy or hot. In fact, people usually think of me as innocent and cute.
The real reason I was picked was because my mom gave me the job. then many other fashion designers wanted me also when they realized that I was a 'raw beauty'.
So, now I work basically every day and night doing the thing I love to do the most. And I also get a rather large amount of money after shows. $250.00 if we are being precise.
Even though this might seem a bit cliche, I actually do give my money to people who actually need it. Once I saw a guy on the subway who need a few dollars to get to his family. So I gave it to him, but I'm also in NO MEANS a saint.
"And that was Arie Desiree, showcasing one of her latest designs." The announcer stated, and I twirled once before smiling at the crowd, my dark green eyes lighting up slightly with happiness.
After the show was over I stepped into my grandpa's old Mercedes Benz he'd given me when I turned sixteen two years ago. The outside was rusted from many years of traveling and the inside leather seats were worn with age. I loved it though.
I turned on the radio and a new song by Taylor Swift began to play, I wasn't really into her new stuff, but she sure knew how to write a catchy break up song. The hum of the engine was the only other thing to be heard as I drove down the dark road with only a few lampposts here and there.
Once I finally made it to my neighbor hood, I had to press the stupid red button to open the gate to let me in. "Hey Carl," I say as I drive through.
Once I find my house, I pull up and park in the garage. Once I step through the door, I grab an apple and then head upstairs to my room.
"Do your homework and then go to bed, kay darling?" My mother called from the stairs.
"Okay mother!" I called back, and went on to doing my calculus homework. It was hard, but I had notes to look off of, notes off of the board I'd taken a picture of because I was to lazy to write it down like normal people.
Once I was done I put my homework away, made my lunch for tomorrow, and went to sleep. If you're wondering, I have dinner before a show. It may seem like a bad idea but I always do it so I'm not tired AND hungry when I get home.
