Cole was taking me somewhere.
I didn't know where, but he said that it was a place that meant a lot to him. So I just let him take me wherever we were headed. The ride was short, and then, we were somewhere I hadn't been in forever.
The beach.
Well, actually, it was more of a private beach that you couldn't exactly get to. My friends and I stumbled upon it a long time ago. When we were maybe... Twelve?
"What are we doing here?" I ask him, and he smiles. Cole continues to lead me over the ledge of the bridge and hopes down. He takes my hand, and gently puts me down.
"Right under here, in a horrendous rainstorm, was where I realized I fell in love with you." He tells me, and my eyes widen. "You see, right here... A little boy found new hope. New hope in you, Arielle... I've loved you for a long time. Ever since we were little toddlers..."
Cole slowly pulls something out of his pocket, and my eyes widen at the little black box. He wasn't... He wasn't going to... Was he?
"Now, I know we aren't old enough to be married yet... But, this ring, it's a promise ring. I've also got one-" he shows me a ring on a chain around his neck. "This ring, means your mine. Today, tomorrow, for however long we shall be." He tells me, and I smile. "But this can only work... If you say you do Arie, or you will... I don't know." He tells me.
I let out a little laugh, and then smile at him again. "Will you, Arielle Desiree Potter, be mine for as long as we shall be?" He asks me, and then in a whisper. "Forever hopefully, and I giggle at him.
"Yes."
He raises his eyebrows at me, and I clear my throat.
"I-I will, I do..." I say with a smile, and he kisses my cheek, and then my nose, and then my other cheek, and then my lips.
The kiss last for some time, longer than others, and filled with passion. I thought that if we didn't stop now, we might do something we weren't ready for yet. "Cole, we have to stop, I'm not ready yet." I whisper to him, and he nods his head at me.
"I love you Arie."
"I love you too Cole."
