(Picture of Arielle's Locket--->)
********************************
(Arielle's POV)I got out of my nice cozy bed this morning groggily, and walked to the bathroom. Immediately turning the water to hot, I jumped in the shower. When I was washing my hair with 'Secret' by Georgia Stone, I started to hum along to 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams.
'Bring me down, can't nothin'
Bring me down, but my levels to high, bring me down I said
Cause I'm happy, clap along if you feel like a room without a roof,
Clap along, if you feel like happiness is the truth.'
I continued to sing in my head as I hummed and washed my hair. Then, I turned off the water and walked to my closet. My phone buzzed and I picked it up, towel wrapped around my body.
'You look hot in a towel' my eyes widened as I took in the words and looked around, then I looked out my window to see if I could find Cole. I didn't, and then I looked down at the text again. 'Turn around' I did as I was told, and glared at Cole.
"What are you doing in here? Who let you in?" I seethed, and he smirked at me.
"Your mother," he told me.
"I swear I'm gonna..." I mumbled deathly, and then closed my eyes. "Get out, I need to get dressed." I told Cole. He didn't move, "Cole, get out!" I hissed angrily.
"Why?" He asked innocently.
"I'm not going to change in front of you!" I shouted at him, "now," I said, my voice calming down. "Get. Out."
"But why-"
"Cole, if you don't get out of my room I will take a silver stake and poke you in the arse with it." I tell him, and he immediately walks out.
I smirk, finally, he was gone. Walking towards my closet, I look inside to see my new installments. What girl doesn't love getting new clothes?
Skimming through everything, my eyes land on something I had made a while back. It was a dark red dress, it went to just below my butt. Something I wasn't usually into, but I thought it would work for something. Diamonds were encrusted in the dress, by that, I mean they were sewn. They ran along the sides of the dress, and a pattern played along the breast area. Swirling in different directions. I then went to my closet for shoes and accessories.
I grabbed my black high heeled boots that went to my mid... Lower leg I guess. Then I grabbed the silver locket that someone had given to me. Someone whom I didn't know, it was left on my bedside table on my thirteenth birthday.
It had something inside of it, but I couldn't open it, because I didn't have the key. Whoever had given me this, had the key. There was a message on the backside of it too.
In black cursive handwriting, the message had been engraved. The message was;
'Yours, forever and always'
I was always confused by what it meant, but by my sixteenth birthday, I didn't even try anymore. Maybe I would meet the person someday again. My brain always wondered who had given me it. As far as I knew, it could be a total stranger, or... It could be someone I've known all my life, someone that I used to love, and whom loved me.
Maybe it was-
A knock on the door disrupted my thoughts and I looked up to see Cole standing in my doorway. I was dressed at this time, and he looked at the silver locket that I was playing with. An expression crossed his face, of what, I didn't know.
"So," he cleared his throat. "Where'd you uh, where'd you get that locket?" He asked and swallowed.
"Someone left me this on my thirteenth birthday... The one you ruined." I mumbled.
"You still have a grudge about that?" He asked me nervously.
"Yeah, you embarrassed me in front of everyone." I replied, glaring at him.
"Do you uh, do you know who left you that locket?" He asked me, and I shook my head. He sighed in what I thought was relief. I looked at him curiously, but he just looked away from me awkwardly.
"Okay then..." I mumbled and then got up, "ready to go?" I asked him, and he nodded his head.
"C'mon, let's go." He says, and then pulls me down the stairs. "Bye Mrs. Potter!" He calls to my mother.
"Goodbye dearie, have a good day Arielle!" She calls back. I swear, sometimes my mother acts sort of like a-
"Ready to go?" Cole asked me, and I nodded my head. "Alright then, let's go." He says and places me in the car.
"Arielle, listen... I need to tell you something, it's really important, and it may change a few things, but-" my phone cut him off, and I held up a finger and pulled out my phone.
It was Juliet.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Where are you?" She asked me back.
"Um, riding to school." I told her.
"You haven't been to school in a couple of days..." She says, trailing off.
"What? Yes I have. You probably just didn't see me." I replied back.
"Are you with anyone right now?" She asked me.
"Yeah," I told her.
"Who?" She asked me.
"The devil," I responded.
"Oh."
"Yeah, no I'm kidding. I'm with Cole." I tell her.
"Really? Why?" She asks me.
"Because my mother let him in, and now he is taking me to school." I tell her, and she laughs.
"So your with Cole?" She asked me.
"Yes."
"Oh, cool..." She says.
"Was there a reason you called me, Juli?" I asked her.
"Um... I don't know." She says, and I laugh. She soon starts to laugh. "Have fun with the hot devil." She said in a suggestive way.
"Ew, Juli, no!" I said and laughed.
"C'mon, why not?" She asked me in a pouty tone.
"Because he... Never mind." I say and she growls angrily. "You okay there?" I ask her and laugh.
"Why won't you tell me?" She asks me.
"I can't, sorry Juli, maybe some other time when it's right." I say.
"He's hot though, so you can't be going through too much horribleness." She tells me, and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah, whatever. Later, Juli." I say and then hang up.
"Huh, so I'm the devil?" He asks me, and I chuckle and nod. "Oh, okay..."
"You okay, Cole?" I ask him, and he swallows.
"Yeah, fine. Great actually... Oh, look, we're here." He says and jumps out of the car. "Later," he mumbles.
"Yeah, see you." I say back, and walk to my class, just in time too.
"Good morning class..."
