After a long day of school, Cole decided to take me somewhere. A date, he had said. I had been on plenty of dates as Arie, but not so much as Arielle. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, but he did tell me I'd love it.
Cole had gone to a little restaurant in town and gotten us some food, and then he went to a bakery and got us something else; brownies. He always knew I loved them, so I smiled and thanked him.
When we finally got to where he wanted us to be, I rose an eyebrow at him. "Where are we?" I asked him.
"You'll see, come on!" He said and grinned happily at me.
Turns out where he had taken me was a little creek. It even had a little bridge, it was rusted, but I knew underneath it, it was red.
"This is a cute little place," I told him with a smile on my face, but Cole didn't stop walking. "Where are you going?" I asked him, and realized he was crossing the bridge.
"Come on, it's not going to break on you." He called over his shoulder, and winked at me. "I have to get something," he tells me.
"Oh, okay." I say and step onto the bridge. He was right, it didn't break.
Cole stepped back on the bridge with a basket, picnic basket to be exact.
"What are we doing?" I asked him, and he smiled excitedly at me.
"Have you ever seen a meteor shower?" He asked me, and I thought for a moment before shaking my head. "Well, it's been predicted that tonight there is supposed to be a thousand meteors or so to fly through the sky." He told me.
"Really?" I asked him, and he nodded his head. "When?" I asked him.
"At about ten I think," he replies, and then he nods his head in confirmation.
"Wow," I breathed.
"So, I decided to take you on a picnic and they lie on the bridge and watch the beautiful sky tonight." He told me, and I smiled at him.
"Thank you," I say and smile.
"Yeah, no problem." He said, and lied the big blanket out over the bridge.
"Um, why'd you put the food in the basket?" I asked him, and he smiled at me.
"It's five right now, this food is for now, and the food in the basket is for tonight." He tells me, and I nod my head.
"Okay," I replied. We sat down eating our food and the delicious brownies. "These are so good!" I moaned happily.
Cole chuckled, "glad you like them." He then lied down and looked at me. "Arie, why did you decided to hide your beauty?" He asked me, and I shrugged my shoulders.
"You know I'm not really into the spotlight, being on a stage and walking is different than being beautiful and walking where people can grab you." I told him, and he nodded his head. "Why'd you decided to bully me?" I ask him back.
"I wanted to be around you and hear your voice, and you hated me so I had to find a way to see you all the time..." He tells me.
"Oh..."
"Yeah, um... Hey! Look! It's starting," he said happily. Looking away from me, and it was then I noticed it was dark, well, except the sky, which was full of burning meteors.
"Wow, it's very beautiful." I breathed, and Cole nodded his head.
"Arie?" He asked me, and I turned my head to look at him.
"Yeah?" I asked him, and turned to look at him. As my eyes met his, his face closed in on mine, and I realized we were kissing.
Cole Cooper was kissing me.
And the thing was, I liked it...
