Chapter 35: Kang Taehoon

The blast of the magic entered the scene preventing the death of the woman, the strength pushed the enemy out of the circle. It was the man with a mask and a scar through the right eye, a strand of white hair with an elegant hairstyle. His outfit truly defines a true warrior of Ancient Korea, however with modern style. The pants are a check, white gloves designed with chains with a jacket. The Empress realized the logo at his jacket: a logo of panthers of an Ancient Cheolsun.

He took a few steps forward before shifting his position, his eyes were darting onto hers seeing Mina suffering.

"It's alright." The abilities of telekinesis are the first step before his magical hands made contact with her chest, rejuvenating the mark onto her skin.

"You m*th*rf*ck*r!" Pointing the tip to the man in front of her.

"You enjoyed the life of a queen, aren't you?" The man spoke.

Marden recognized the suit of the unknown. Internally, it was surprising glimpsing someone from an ancient dynasty based on his attire, different from the previous apparel, it wasn't a doubt, after all. His eyes were like panthers, indeed! Especially the scar on his face, a familiar face is shown from her perspective.

Her feet deliberately walked into circles after a bit of approach, still pointing the tip of her blade to

"I know you, I know where you come from, and...The scar on your face...You are not ordinary."

"Tell me."

"The black uniform and the strands of your dyed hair, the figure is very familiar...I'm not mistaken if I call you...Kang Taehoon, the son of Kang Taejoon."

Mina, on the other hand, was surprised when someone from ancient times. The durable Panther of the ancient periods stood in front of her, a well-suited man with manly features, the one, and only Kang Taehoon, but her mind lingers by questions. What, when, how, where! Yes, she heard about his history...but...what just happened?

"I expect that but it's time for you to pay." The magic glowed onto his hands, shoving the opponent away in a far distance.

He glanced at the woman again.

"Take care of yourself, first. I'll take in charge." Mina nodded her head and stayed away for a while. Marden came dashing charging the opponent but it wasn't successful as it was skipped very hasty like a bolt.

Their swords came clashing, swift, another swift, and another one. The man stepped back as the woman stepped forward when their blades went clashing not until both swords were in contact for seconds, fighting for dominance, later on, there was no one, no one dominate.

"Why you're corrupted with your greedy ego? I wasn't involved at something that you're angered with."

"Don't you ever talk that you didn't do anything! I hate liars, you know? I know you had an affair with a GOD!" Marden yelled, he was furious when he heard her statement.

"You just only want what's best for both worlds but not the best of mine, you wanted because of your greed, the greed of power that consumed your all that I need is to stay away and to be with someone who will adore for who am I, care and protect me from danger! Look what you did, I perished through ropes of yours, not mine because all of you accused me of murdering your twin sister but the truth is you are good covering yourself, did you love me back then?! DOES ALL OF IT SIGNIFY AND SHOWING YOUR LOVE?!." This phrase revealed that these 2 have a big connection, all of his explanations were wholeheartedly true, those unforgettable pain for years he had suffered from the dark side of Marden's greed for power. Also, the scar on his face was made by Marden herself by a dagger. He was such a fool of his chosen path leading into nothing perfect and thrown by thousands of blades and arrows, easy to remove but not the pain. The worst is, Ice Princess wasn't able to save the man that she loves because it was forbidden to do so, or else, she'll be a species like Mina without any abilities except what's given by the highest GOD himself. His face told every pain including his lover never save him at all.
