"Zeta." Vincenzo called holding my arm and I shook my head turning around to face him.
"Something wrong?" He asked sounding concerned.
"No. Let's go inside." I manged to squeeze a smile and hold his arm.
What the hell I was thinking?
Dad is the owner of this hotel and my mother-in-law has a good relationship with my parents. They are good friends so I'm the one who is thinking nonsense.
Also, I may have misunderstood their action. And he might not be my father. I can't assume everything on based of my own.
Zeta. Don't jump to conclusions without clarification. I berated myself and get rid of those disturbing thoughts.
"Feeling discomfort on your stomach?" A hand covered my stomach startling me and I stopped walking.
"Ah..." I almost shouted out loud gaining the passerby attention and looked up towards Vincenzo face was morphed with worry.
"I'm fine. You remove your hand." Blushed crept my face as everyone eyes were on us and they seemed to have misunderstood Vincenzo's action.
"You don't need to worry about mom. I will explain once we go back." Vincenzo insisted tugging me to turn around.
"Vincenzo. I'm perfectly fine. I don't fell discomfort during my period." I whispered tugging at his suits jacket and fortunately he halted his legs.
"Really?" His eyes wandered around my face examining for any sign of discomfort and finding none we resumed walking towards the elevator.
"What made you think that I'm not felling okay?" I questioned once we have entered inside the elevator.
"You look pale." He said caressing my face and I pressed my face on his chest.
"Umm.. I thought I had seen my dad but I was wrong." I sounded down and pulled away standing straight.
"Oh. We can visit them tomorrow. And sometimes it's ok to recognize wrong person." Vincenzo said as if it's a small matter.
He surely spoiled me a lot. To lighten my mood he didn't care about his words. Right and wrong doesn't matters to him.
"Then can I recognize another man as my husband?" A question popped up out of nowhere and I blurted out without thinking.
"Can't." A strong hand snaked around my waist posseively pulling me towards his embrace and a huge smile graced my face.
And indeed my mood became better. Now I know how those heroine in the novels might have felt whenever the heore become possesives.
Ah... someone is posseive about me too. The imaginations came to reality and it's not bad to have posseive husband who is not overly possessive.
"Pfft." Someone laughed behind our back and it's none other than Ross who had followed us in.
"Ross. I am not joking here." Vincenzo's stern voice sounded and I looked up to see him glaring at Ross, who immediately control his laughter.
"Understood boss." Ross replied came in his gruffed voice.
"Amore. I, Vincenzo Dominique is your husband and it will never change, yeah?" Suddenly, Vincenzo looked helpless and he turned into a pitiful husband who has been wrong.
Gone was the cold and high mighty boss who had just ordered Ross to shut up his mouth, leaving a loving husband making me feel extremely bliss.
Only I can see the gentle and soft side of this man, my husband.
"Of course. I, Zeta Santorini will only recognize Vincenzo Dominique as my husband." I spoke looking straight into his eyes showing my utmost sincerity.
"Good. Don't go back on your word." He sounded like a kid who is afraid of not geeting his favorite sweet.
"You don't believe in me." I acted hurt while looking down at the floor.
"Believe." His gripped tighten on my waist and I immediately looked up smiling brightly at him.
Just then the elevator door opened with a ping sound and I heard something around the line I-don't-believe-in myself coming from Vincenzo.
Before I could pondered over it, people who were waiting outside rushed inside and Vincenzo pulled me at the side, giving space to the two gentlemen claded in business attire.
"It seems like a rush hour." I muttered looking at the sea of people who were entering the elevator at the side.
"There is a political seminar around 11 am. The delegates are rushing to have breakfast." Ross informed standing beside Vincenzo and the elevator door closed.
"Uh.. What a good day! Long time no see Dominique." One of the gentlemen exclaimed in a dramatic way with a cocky smirk plastered on his way.
He is of same height as Vincenzo and would count as handsome if not for the scar on his face. I averted my gaze as I have a once over at him and hopefully the man didn't notice me.
"Huh? Still not change. I thought marriage influence people." He mocked provoking Vincenzo and then his gaze feel on me.
"Oh. Zeta Santorini i-" Vincenzo rudely cut off the man.
"Castello." Vincenzo said through gritted teeth and I knew that man was someone with bad intentions.
"Hey. I was just going to congratulate. No need to shout." The man smirked while looking at me which make me uncomfortable.
Sensing my discomfort Vincenzo took a step forward which blocked the man's vision. After that unpleasant silence prevails and the two men shoot daggers at each other.
It continued until the elevator door opened and with a last glance at me the man get out of the elevator. I released a sigh while tucking my hair behind the ear and holding Vincenzo's arm we walked out.
"Zeta. Just avoid that man in the future." Vincenzo said in a serious voice.
"Sure." That man exduce bad vibes and there seems to enemity between Vincenzo and him.
Then Ross lead us to the private room were mom was already waiting for us siting around the square table and he took his leave.
"Come inside. You two are looking perfect together like match made in heaven." Mom beamed urging us to take a seat and Vincenzo pulled the chair next to mom for me.
"Aww...you are glowing." As soon as I had sat down, she took my hand on her and teased making me blush.
"Mom. Let her sit down properly." Vincenzo voice came from my side and the chair opposite to me was vacant.
"Haha. Worrying about your wife. My son is changing." Mom laughed shaking her head and a strand of blonde hair fall on her forehead.
"Your hair...." Was golden brown when I had seen you at the lobby.
