"Thea." I admonish her with a glare.
I already have my lover, my husband, Vincenzo yet she called another man my lover.
"Hello! Bad girl. Zeta. And your welcome." Owen Salvin greeted with amusement breaking the awkward atmosphere and a snort escape from my mouth when I heard he name Thea as a bad girl.
Bad girl. That's not how I would describe her but I couldn't deny the fact that she look like one. Her sleek black hair, piercings on both of her ears, black outfit from head to toe with black nail polish, that's all scream bad.
If not for the innocent look on her face I wouldn't have dare to make friends with her. Also, this girl was the one who had pass through the invisible barrier I had created and the one who understood me better than I did.
"Bad girl, huh? I will take it as a compliment." Thea smiled which was not a smile and I shook my head looking at my bff annoyed face.
"Sure. And..." Owen trailed off looking at his sleek wristwatch.
"We gotta go now otherwise we will be late. I won't mind a company you know." He said giving me suggestive gazes and I couldn't understand what he was talking about.
"Going where?" I asked looking bewildered as Thea walked towards the driver seat of the door as if she realized something.
"Uni." Owen answered still looking at me with his expectant gaze which somehow made me uncomfortable.
"Shit. Zeta. I forgot to tell you about the project we would have to finish at the end of the semester." Thea said opening the car door.
"Bye. And thank you again." I politely bid goodbye to Owen as not to seem rude and literally ran off towards the car.
"Get in. And Owen let's race to the Uni." Thea shouted popping up her head from the window and smirked like a bad girl.
"Cool." Owen replied meeting Thea's challenging gaze and I get inside the passenger seat.
"Zeta. Buckle up." Thea said as soon as I had seated inside and I fastened the seat belt without wasting a second.
"Ready." She asked igniting the engine and I nodded my head in approval.
Vroom.
Thea drove the car in the moderate speed and suddenly speed up once we have reached near Owen car. Thankfully, it's not the first time that I had ride with her in full speed.
That was the horrifying experience I have ever had. I did not want to recall how I had puke my guts out.
"See ya." She mocked looking at Owen who was hurriedly getting inside the car and we drove out of the parking lot.
"Thea." I called as we had reached the main road.
"Zeta. Mrs. Campbell will pair one student of arts with business students and its something about show or similar to that." Thea answered my unspoken question.
"Oh. But I didn't get the mail." I knew that we would have to work on some projects but...
"Oops... I forget to check the mail." I had been so busy or I must say we were spellbound on our own world that I forgot about everything.
Chuckle resounded inside the car and Thea slow down stopping the car at the intersection where red light was shown on the traffic light.
"That's what marriage life do my friend." Thea teased with a smug grin plastered on her face.
"You're saying as if you have experience it." I counterattack while looking at her.
"Not married but I have been in relationships." Something similar to sadness gleam on her eyes which disappeared as the light turn green.
Then Thea drove the car through the streets, taking shortcuts as much as possible and we reached the parking lot of the Uni before Owen.
"We win." Thea screamed doing a happy dance and I smiled getting off the car.
"Hehe. Let's welcome the looser." She hollered as Owen's Mercedes Benz GT wheeled in the parking lot.
The students passing by gave a weird look to the screaming Thea and she looked smugly at Owen as he walked towards us.
"Yeah. I lose to you bad girl. So lunch is on me." He surrendered bowing at Thea as if she is a queen and I laughed looking at the two idiots.
"Guys. Mrs. Campbell have already started. Let's hurry up." One of the passing students said looking at his mobile and they all headed towards the hall.
"Fuck." Owen cursed looking at the crowd of students entering the door.
"Hurry up." Thea yelled tugging me to walk ahead and we dashed toward the entrance.
Looking at the herd of people in the hallway, I felt bad for the old bitch full name for Rosalie Campbell who might have been giving her speech in front of the almost empty seats.
We better hurry up or once her speech finishes then we would be in the receiving end of her harsh letcure.
"Ouch." Someone pushed me making me to loose my balance and my body bend sideways crashing on the wall.
But the pain didn't come instead I became steady in my legs. I felt a hand on my left arm and my gaze met with Owen as I looked over my shoulder.
"Thanks." I muttered moving my shoulder and he remove his hand mouthing welcome.
"Let's wait at the side." Thea suggested while holding my hand and we waited for the students to enter.
"What are you doing?" She asked looking at Owen who was standing beside me.
"Listening to you." He replied which pisses off Thea and she looked away from him.
Owen Salvin, the only heir of Salvin Inc. and the most sought after guy in our University is the first person to speak with me and I could not tagged him as a close-friend but just a friend.
He looked like a playboy type and girls swooned over his killer smile but with me an exception. Owen is handsome and dashing but pale in comparison to Vincenzo.
Ughhh... What am I doing comparing some guy with my husband?
"........ the future of our nation." I heard Mrs. Campbell voice followed with round of applause.
"Sit down fast." Thea pulled my hand making me sit down and then I realized that I had enter the hall absent-mindedly.
Hopefully, Mrs. Campbell did not caught us or anyone and she started roll calling from the arts and the business while pairing them together.
"205H. 105G." Thea roll number was called and she get up walking to the stage.
On the stage, Mr. Lorry handed a file to Eric from arts department and then they get down walking back to their respective seats. Then Mrs. Campbell continued with the roll calling.
"209Q. 107K." Finally, my turn came and I walked towards the stage.
I was the first one to walked ahead so I couldn't see my partner and when I looked at the person after I had stood up on the stage, I was speechless for a second.
Cause my project partner was none other than Owen Salvin.
