Inside a huge mansion decorated with the fancy light, a huge commotion was taking place where the servants and media were witnessing the ugly family drama.
A live broadcast was being telecast where the online viewers were commenting out their thoughts.
"Poor Avery,"
"Heartless father,"
"Rich people drama,"
Those were the words being whispered among the people. The high material walls couldn't stopped the noise from being transmitted outside and the whole world got the live show of the asshole father and the young stepmother.
"Avery!" Henry Salvin bellowed like a starved animal, ready to devour the fragile Avery every second from now.
"What?!" Avery screeched at the top of her lungs, not backing away from the beast of her father.
"Sarah is now my legally married wife which makes her your stepmother so have some respect." Henry was irritated with the way his daughter was behaving.
He knew she was a hard nut to crack but displaying the family ugly business in front of the world made him feel hopeless. He did not raise her to shame the family name without any ounce of respect for him.
"Respect?!" Avery scoffed with a mocking smile, hands clenched in a fist.
"Mr. Henry Brooks, you don't deserve my respect. Sign that paper and get the hell out of my and my brother's life." She pointed the papers tightly clenched in his hand.
Everything had started because of that paper and can be finished with his signature but the ever so cowardly Henry refused to accept the reality.
"Avery, we can tal-" Sarah, draped in an expensive white gown looked out of the picture.
Marriage is a joyous moment bringing light in ones and their families life, yet the union of Henry and Sarah bought heartbreaks and will mark the end of the father and his children's relation.
"Shut up you shameless bitch." Avery cuts her off throwing disgusting looks at her so called stepmother and she was ready to die rather to admit the girl same age as her as her stepmother.
"The bloody gold digger," Avery's venom laced voice shudders Sarah.
No, Avery did not hate them. Hate was a great emotion to invest on those two undeserving creature. She was once again disappointed with the person whose name was in the column of father in her birth certificate.
"Henry...uwww...." Sarah, knowing her identity crises tried to performed her usual act of pretending helpless but it did not work out.
"Shut up," Henry who was trying to figure out some loop hole did not care about his new young bride who had fallen down on the carpeted floor embarrassing them again.
"When I had asked why you married this bitch, you proclaimed your love to her! With a sign, you are free to love her so just sign and get out of here." Avery's patience was running out and the drama was enough for the day.
"Avery, you and Owen are my children, how can I just give away my rights as a father."
"Oh! Please stop your sob story. Everyone has seen how good of a father you are." Painful memories surges inside her making her feel numb.
"And you know what you're just our sperm donor not more than that. We are grateful for that so we tolerated you but no more."
"You had married into my moms family taking her surname so sign away and leave with the amount enough to start anew if you have a last shred of dignity left inside you." Her words shook Henry to the core and looked 10 times older than his age.
