if donghyuck could turn back time, he would turn it back to the day before he was born.
he would like to turn back time to the day his mother fell in love with a man and gave birth to him. a mean, inconsistent, and drunkard man. the same man who caused an accident that lead to the death of only his mother, not his "father" whom he despise so much. he hated that man. he hated the way he still got drunk even after the death of his mother, drunk driving was the cause of it. yes, he went to the police station, not for long, but long enough for donghyuck to be sent to an orphanage where he met his new best friend who turned out to be in the same situation as him.
donghyuck never let that event be his sadness, as he knows his mother have suffered enough through giving birth to him in the age of 19 as well as living with her drunkard psychopathic husband whom donghyuck still question why his mother who is so kind hearted and affectionate wants to stay with a mad man like the man.
and so in the orphanage, donghyuck is like the sunshine to the moody and sad kids. he always lift up their moods by making jokes and playing around with them. and that caught the eye of a 14 year old canadian.
mark lee is his name, lee minhyung his real one. donghyuck adored him for his looks and his bravery. as he was one of the oldest in the orphanage so far, donghyuck respected him a lot, although stubborn sometimes to listen to the older. however, they became closer each day as they experience the same tragedy, mark's being worse in a few aspects.
as they became older, they changed. their attitudes, characters, and forms changed. donghyuck became a rebelious teen, and mark became a cold but respectful young man. they were both 16 and 17 respectively, making them able to set out into the world alone. as a teen and a young man, they had different views on their living. and so the argument starts, where mark wanted to move to seoul, and donghyuck staying in busan. and donghyuck was totally against mark going far from him, making him ignore the young man who tried to persuade him that he will come back. he brought up sensitive topics about their parents which led them both to a harsh separation. and there, they part ways, knowing their choices were not going to let them see each other again.
