Aaratrika hummed as she sat on the royal section of the garden. Her dainty fingers expertly tying the garlands as she watched the antics of the male peacock trying to entice his female mate.
Aaratrika gasped as a hand covered her eyes causing her to elbow the stranger who yelped in pain. Her glaring eyes turned wide seeing the tall man muttering in pain.
" Brother!" Aaratrika smiled widely and hugged Satyajit who huffed and whacked her head. Aaratrika pouted at Satyajit who rolled his eyes.
" Seriously...I thought someone wants to kidnap me," Aaratrika whined.
" Who would want to kidnap you?" A regal voice called out in an exasperated tone. Aaratrika's face turned into frown as she looked at Draupadi walking towards them with haughty look and a graceful walk.
" Brother," she said to Satyajit who smiled and hugged her causing Aaratrika to clench her fist.
" Brother...sisters!" A loud voice called . Dhristadhyumna walked over with a wide smile. He smiled and hugged Satyajit before hugging Draupadi.
" Brother! I was so worried that you would miss our name day," Draupadi said with a wide smile.
Aaratrika snorted and shook her head causing Satyajit to press his lips together while Dhristadhyumna's eyes widened in realisation.
" Aaratrika must you snort ? It's not ladylike! We are royal princess sister not common chamber maid," Draupadi said.
" Really ? " Aaratrika said giving Draupadi a mock bow before grabbing her weaven basket and stomped away.
Draupadi pursed her lips and shakes her head.
" I can't seem to make her a better person...she tries to undermine my authority and gets caught with the Maharaj..." Draupadi said causing Satyajit to shake his head.
" It was her birthday last moon sister...I forgot...and apparently so did everyone," Satyajit said with a self deprecating smile.
Draupadi's eyes widened as she covered her hands with her mouth. Dhristadhyumna and Satyajit looked at Draupadi who swallowed her saliva.
" I...my moon blood was last moon...Maharaj had a celebration for my coming of age," Draupadi said in a quiet voice causing Satyajit to chuckle.
" Off course...nothing but the best for the Emerald of Panchal...Forgive me but I have a sister to grovel," Satyajit said and marched away while Dhristadhyumna hugged Draupadi, calming her down.

" Off course the Emerald of Panchal gets to celebrate her birthday! " Aaratrika huffed as she placed the garlands on the statue of Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman.
Draupad true to his word build a small temple near the bank of Ganga for Ram . However since the king himself doesn't worship Ram, many of the royals and the ministers do not visit the temple sans Aaratrika who found another mother in Sita after her biological mother left to heaven.
Aaratrika shook her head as she wiped her eyes before circling the aarthi infront of the idols.
" Why ma...why don't Maharaj Draupad give me one ounce of love that he lavishes to her?" Aaratrika lamented as she prayed in front of the idols.
She exhaled her breath and wiped her eyes as she placed two offerings infront of Sita and a single offering in front of Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman respectively before walking out of the temple. She took the weaven basket and walked off to the nearby village and gave the offerings to some children and elders. Aaratrika grinned watching the childrens face lit up in joy as they ate the sweet ladoos.
