Chapter 18

It has been three moons since the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Hastinapur.

Things had been back to normal once the Pandavs left to their own land to govern.

Duryodhan was specially invited by Balaram to learn the art of mace wielding. Ever since the crown Prince left, the other Kauravs have been laying low while Bheesmacharya and Vidhur helped the king to govern the lands of Hastinapur in a much peaceful  environment.

Sulabha smiled to herself as she watched Aaratrika humming as she sat  facing the garden with a bunny on her lap.

She walked towards the girl and gently placed her hand on Aaratrika's shoulder.

" Come, you haven't eaten breakfast yet," Sulabha told Aaratrika who smiled and shook her head.

" Let Maharani Kunti finish her breakfast first maasa," Aaratrika said causing Sulabha to purse her lips together.

" Aaratrika you look pale and you haven't been eating well lately. Come, she can eat her breakfast with you or later," Sulabha said causing Aaratrika to sigh.

" I don't want to get in her way. I am tired ma...Tired of hearing all the accusations," Aaratrika said causing Sulabha to wrap her arms around Aaratrika.

She brought the younger girl towards the dining chamber and made her to sit down. Sulabha smiled as Vidhur walked inside and Aaratrika stood up and hugged him.

Eversince Aaratrika began staying with them, both Vidhur and Sulabha has gradually warmed up with the girl and now thought of her as their own flesh and blood.

Kunti walked towards the chamber regally and smiled at Vidhur and Sulabha who greet her. Aaratrika greeted the woman who gave her a small nod before sitting down.

" Have you received any news from Khandavprasad ?" Kunti asked Vidhur who shook his head.

" Nothing so far Bhabhishree. However, Maharaj Balaram has also accepted Bheem to tutelage mace wielding under him," Vidhur said as he took a bite of his breakfast.

Aaratrika's eyes widened slightly while Kunti smiled widely. Sulabha raised her eyebrows and pat Aaratrika's shoulder.

" Eat your breakfast," Sulabha told the girl who pouted and nod her head.

Aaratrika took one bite of the milk flavoured breakfast. Her eyes widened and she stood up and began running with a wretching sound.

Kunti and Vidhur frowned as they stood up while Sulabha had rushed behind Aaratrika.

" What happened?" Vidhur asked in a worried tone as he saw Sulabha patting Aaratrika's back while the girl kept vomiting.

Sulabha helped Aaratrika to wash her face and mouth while she closed her eyes and staggered. Vidhur quickly hurried and helped to steady her.

" Bring her to her chambers," Sulabha told Vidhur who nod his head and walked away with Aaratrika while Sulabha hurried away.

Karn furrowed his eyebrows as he watched his parents preparing some medicinal herbs.

He smiled and ruffled Shon's hair and placed his hand on his brother's shoulder before walking towards his parents.
