I'm not sure what I was expecting but it sure as hell wasn't this.

Isabel had a house. It was big, but not like mine, if anything it looked like a family of four lived here.

From the outside I couldn't tell if it was one or two stories, but I did take note of the pool in the backyard. I might've done a little snoop around the place before I rang the doorbell.

I could tell she liked both privacy and space, maybe that was the reason she settled down here, blending in as a 'normal' stereotypical person to avoid drawing attention to herself.

The door opens revealing an out of breath Isabel. Her face was flushed, and she looked like she hadn't taken a proper breath since she left my place.

"Hey" I smile looking at her.

"Hi sorry I'm almost ready. I can't find the info my dad gave me, and I need it before we leave" she says turning around back and walking further into the house. She leaves the door open for me, so I take that as an invitation to step inside. "No rush, we've got plenty of time" I make sure to say in a calming voice trying to ease her.

I don't get a response, the only thing I hear in return is the sounds of objects clanking together like she's moving things around before putting them back.

I don't feel comfortable enough to snoop around so I stay near the door and wait for her to come back. It takes a short two minutes of me staring at the blank wall for her to come rushing back into my eye sight. I'm guessing Isabel doesn't like to show off her family or any sort of private life, but I'm beginning to think she doesn't have much of one. All the times I've run into her she's always been working.

"Alright, I'm ready let's go" She yanks her bag over her shoulder and pushes past me, waiting until I'm back outside to lock the door behind us.

The first two hours of the drive are awkward. I hadn't set up the music before we started driving because my mind was racing about the next few days, so the playlist had completely flew over my head and now we were sitting in complete silence.
