"Bonnie..."

"No Damon." The feisty witch held her ground, her gaze firm and unfaltering. "She doesn't want to see you. Get that through your thick head."

Damon rolled his eyes. "Just get out of the way-"
He tried pushing past her, but Bonnie closed the door abruptly, blocking his way.

"I've been invited in." Damon says frustrated.
"I can break down the door and walk right inside."

"So do it." Bonnie quirked her eyebrows, in a taunting and challenging way.

"Damon rolled his eyes at her in annoyance.
"Caroline!" He called out, loud enough for even the neighbors to hear. "I just wanna talk, alright?"

No answer.

"Please???"

No answer again.

"I told you." Bonnie said softly, though this time her voice had a hint of sympathy. "She doesn't wanna talk. Not now."

Damon sighed in defeat. The old him would just push past Bonnie anyways, and demand answers. But this Damon - well, he didn't have the energy for it. What's the point, in making people mad and pushing all their buttons? All it have Damon was grief at the end of it all. He just wanted some answers, but nobody ever seemed to want to give them to him.

"Okay." Damon whispered, a sad smile on his lips as he turned away from the dark witch, prepared to leave Caroline's house.

He was halfway out her driveway when he heard a frantic voice call after him. "Wait!"

Damon jolted on the brake in panic, and flung forward quickly, almost hitting his head on the rear mirror. He whipped his head up and glared at Bonnie in annoyance, who now had jumped into the passenger seat beside him.

"What??" He barked at her, but Bonnie remained unfazed.

"I said Caroline doesn't want to talk. It doesn't mean I don't." Bonnie said, a strange expression on her face.

"What-?" Damon scrunched his eyebrows, still trying to make sense of the situation as he took his foot of the brake pedal and drove out into the road.

"So..." Damon trailed off, trying to start the awkward conversation. "What?"

"Caroline told me." Bonnie said seriously. "That you kissed her."

"Ah. That." Damon smirked, leaning in closer to the witch.

Bonnie rolled her eyes and shoved him back.
"Yeah, that." She snapped. "So why'd you do it?"

"Feeling a bit jealous?" Damon teased, his eyes twinkling.

"I knew this was a bad idea," Bonnie muttered standing up, but Damon was faster, and pulled her back down.

"OW!" Bonnie yelped, rubbing her shoulder, and causing a few worried glances from passerbys.

She glared at Damon who put his hands up in mock surrender. "I'm sorry." He laughed. "Truly."

"Whatever." Bonnie glared at him angrily. "I'm here for Caroline. She's too smart to fall for your games but I'm here to make sure she doesn't anyways."

"I'm not playing any games." Damon rolled his eyes.
"I just..."

Damon shocked Bonnie to her core as the following words left his mouth:
"Please?"

"I'm sleeping." Caroline grumbled, stuffing her head further into the pillow. "Leave me alone, witch."
Her muffled words came out sleepily, as the blonde vampire started drifting off into slumber again.
