***"Found it." Rebekah smiled at Caroline & Bonnie, as she walked into her bedroom. The pair were lying comfortably on her luxurious California King. Well, Caroline was sure comfortable. Bonnie on the other hand...
Bonnie snatched the bottle from Rebekah's hand, practically ripped open the cap and began drinking greedily.
"Wow Bonnie." Caroline exclaimed in surprise.
Rebekah laughed.
"What is that anyways?" Caroline asked her. "Some ancient witchy potion or something?"Rebekah smiled and pointed to the bottle.
"Tylenol, extra strength." Bonnie said, looking like she just emerged from the dead.
"Cherry flavor." Caroline read on the bottle.
"C'mon let's let her shake it off." Rebekah said, ushering Caroline out of the room.
"But-" Caroline was silenced as Rebekah began push her out the door. "Night Bon!" She squeaked, just as the door shut.
"Excuse me!" Caroline snapped at Rebekah, annoyed. "That was rude."
"You know what's really rude?" Rebekah smiled sweetly. "Showing up to someone's house, uninvited might I add, without even saying what you're doing here!"
"I don't have to tell you anything." Caroline muttered.
"Very well. Guess I'll just have to compel it out of you, then." Rebekah sighed.
"Wait!"
"Spill the beans." Rebekah said sternly.
"Okay, but not...here." Caroline looked around the dark hallway. Truthfully she didn't think anyone was listening, but nevertheless it felt strange to have such a deep discussion in such an open place.
Rebekah pointed to a door across the hallway to which the girls each made their way through. It was big, and very lavish. It was a sitting room, with large, plush loveseats sitting opposite eachother on one side, the other side containing other objects like a baby grand piano and half painted art canvas. What really caught her eye though was a cute picture framed on the mantle. Caroline drew closer and could see it was a "selfie" printed out of Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, and Kol. Judging by the cotton candy in Rebekah's hand, and the large stuffed animal in Kol's, Caroline assumed they had just been at the fair.
"This is a cute picture." Caroline said, never seeing any of their smiles so wide.
"Stop changing the subject." Rebekah said unphased, though Caroline could tell by her voice she was smiling, without having to turn her head.
She joined Rebekah on the loveseat and twisted her hands impatiently. "Do you wanna watch a movie or something? I heard the new Little Women is really good..."
"Little Women?" Rebekah sounded exasperated. "What I want are some answers! You just show up here out of nowhere, without telling anyone why. My brother may be overjoyed, but I am not."
Caroline let out a low whistle.
"You don't understand," Rebekah started again.
"We have a lot going on here, especially Niklaus. So if it's a vacation you're after, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place-""I'm looking for someone." Caroline interrupted. "I guess maybe I was just embarrassed about who it is, but..."
Rebekah raised her eyebrows waiting for an answer. "Well then? Who are you searching for."
"Damon." Caroline answered hesitantly, afraid of Rebekah's reaction.
"Damon??" Rebekah said, not even trying to hide the contempt in her voice. "What on earth for?"
"It's really complicated." Caroline sighed, not feeling like giving the whole sob story at the moment. "Stuff happened back in mystic falls and he just skipped town. I guess I'm hoping to find him so I can talk to him."
"Wow. I never expected you to be coming all the way here for Damon. Tyler, yes, but Damon, never."
Caroline can't help but to let out a small laugh at this, causing Rebekah to smile. "Yeah, me too. But like I said, it's complicated."
"It really is." A groggy Bonnie emerged in the doorway - in rainbow pjs and fuzzy slippers. "This girl has the most dramatic love life."
"Sounds like it." Rebekah laughed as she walked to the end of the room, pulling out two glasses and a bottle of bourbon, handing Caroline one.
"Cheers to that.""Hey, I don't get one?" Bonnie pouted as she grabbed a glass and poured herself a cup as well, clinking her glass with theirs.
"Bonnie Bennet this is a forty thousand dollar carpet, you better not puke all over it!"
"Oh hush, nothing a little patronus charm can't fix." She said, herself and Caroline laughing, Rebekah not understanding the reference.
The rest of the night went quite well. Really well, actually. They talked about Damon, and Tyler, but got tired of that and moved on to different topics. Turns out Rebekah was actually pretty fun, especially when there wasn't Elena and the Salvatore brothers around to make her an enemy of the state. They laughed, and talked, and even did each others nails. They also began half a Harry Potter movie marathon, as poor Rebekah didn't understand any of the references and was missing out on an essential part of life, according to Bonnie. It was past three when they decided to finally go to sleep, as they all could hardly keep their eyes open.
Rebekah stopped by the door, not going in. "I have to check up on something, but I'll come by later." Bonnie nodded, and headed straight for the bed. "Want us to come with?" Caroline asked. "Or me?" She revised, as she noticed Bonnie had already begun to snore. "That's alright." Rebekah smiled. "Thanks, though."
Caroline smiled back and headed towards the bed as well. "Caroline?" Rebekah called out, making her turn around. "Thanks. For tonight."
"Tonight?"
"The girl talk...the slumber party. I've never had that before and...well, it was fun." Rebekah smiled bashfully. "Thanks."
"I had fun too." Caroline smiled. "Though I don't think that'll be the case in the morning." She laughed as she climbed into bed.
"I think you're right." Rebekah laughed as she walked off. "Goodnight." Caroline heard faintly, as she almost immediately fell asleep, both dreadful and eager of the next day to come...
