Nymphs, And Whatnot

I awoke with my usual after slumber stretches and walked out of the bed to gently graze the front door in which I was walking out. I went down the hall to which the rusted grandfather clock was standing, and it read the time as 3:09 o'clock am. So it was roughly a nap that lasted a good five hours.

What to do now? That was the question that seemed to come back to me in different wording. What was I supposed to do now? It was a little boring, but how could a place like this be so boring? I want to go out and see the magical world that one only hears of in fairytales.

I obviously can't go alone, so Ophelia can chaperone! I don't need another interaction with Arthur for a long while.

I walked down the hut and went to Ophelia, who was holding the same book as before but reading on the couch instead of outside her quaint home.

"Ah, look who is finally out of bed! Come, come. What is it, dear?" Her voice was very sweet to my ears, a little too sweet.

"I was wondering if you could take me somewhere, you know because tomorrow there will be no slacking. Today I want to see Blossom County for its beauty. There has to be some attraction you are willing to take me to see."
"Well, first off you go to get dressed. You do not want to be seen wearing old garments from the scrap bin, do you?" She ushered me up and went along with me.

She didn't go to her room but instead went to the one she had given me. Ophelia opened up the third drawer of the dresser as I stood next to the bed that I had previously let my vomit out onto. She had been scuffling in my drawers trying to see what would be suitable for me to wear out of the hut. She told me that she knew the fashion we had as humans was a little bit different than the ones they had as fairies, for they didn't wear so many layers in their clothing. They would just wear one thing and leave it at that.

The clothing I had been wearing seemed more like clothing in the human world, but they made me change out of my pajamas to the ones they had provided me when I arrived.

She quickly glanced in my direction to see what I had been doing while she was picking out my clothing.

Finally, she pulled out a green garment that was folded neatly to go into the dresser provided for me. She started unfolding it elegantly to reveal a dress. It was most definitely not a dress that you would see in the world dominated by the species of humans. No, this dress was made out of interesting material, and gently felt it in my hands to determine what that was. It happened to be- leaves! Actual green leaves had created something that would fit my bodice. The dress cinched once it had reached my waist, and the sleeves were flowing on my arms. But they hadn't been made of leaves, they were made of a thin material that had been clear, with a tint of green to match the dress. The dress was just above my knees, so I would definitely be shamed for wearing something like this in the human world.

Calling it the human world is a little funny, isn't it? What other name is viable for me to pick, because it is technically the world of humans?

Anyways, Ophelia gave me privacy to quickly change in the room and told me not to take too long.

"It really is a beautiful dress, dear. My mother made it herself, but it didn't flatter me as much as I would have liked it to, so I never got the chance to wear it. Don't take too long getting into the dress," she piped at me as she was closing the door slowly so she could finish her sentences.

I put the dress over my head and gracefully scuffled it onto my torso, but a problem had occurred for me. The dress had been too big for me because the dress was hanging around my waist instead of actually clutching it. I called in Ophelia and she had told me that there was a simple charm to fix this sort of problem
