She didn't know when she lost track of the days. Maybe after the first four weeks? All she knew was time had gone bye.

Mia had been holding okay but Mercy couldn't stand the the silence. It had only been about six months before she left.

"Please don't leave me alone Merc." Mia pleeds."Im sorry ill call I promise I just can't stay in this house any longer."

Mercy says gripping her duffle before leaving out of the door. Once she got outside she got in her car she started to drive.

She didn't know where she was driving but she figured she would know once she got there.

It took her three weeks to end up in a place she wished she didn't. She met them in Mexico.

Or she met him. Braga was charming and she was full of hurt and loss. He saw it and manipulated her.

At first they were friends then he asked for a few favors. Then favors turned into tasks, tasks into jobs.

She didn't really notice it at first but suddenly it was like a switch when he asked. She guessed he was just breaking her in.

"Join Braga-" The rest of his words got lost as the room seemed quiet though he was talking.

At that point, she knew how deep she had gotten and decided that if working for a business man was what would make her numb to the pain she felt why not?

"Of course." She said. But at that moment she regretted it. She knew it was bad. She knew it was terrible. She had been selfish.

This would surely bite her in the ass."Perfect I have a job for you." The folder was given to her and she then left the office.

She thought at first it would just be paperwork but what she noticed was a address. And a plastic bag with a gun.

She read the file. It was a piece of paper with a picture. Then in bold letters was 'pick up the money.'

'Fuck' She thought. She got herself mixed up in something more than being a receptionist.

She didn't realize what she had done until after she handed Braga the money and got to her hotel.

Looking in the mirror she just cried her hands and face had specs of blood on them. Her white shirt and pants ruined.

That's when she just got in the shower and let the water run. But unlike usual she curled in a ball on the floor and sobbed.

She used to work for a man as a guard. He was wealthy and often went to night clubs. She never had to use her gun.

It was just in case. But something was different as she watched the light fade from the mans eyes.

She noticed the family photos. He had a wife and a son. He was a father just trying to provide for his family.

But she took it away from him. Something about that made her sick.
