Liam walked into the cafe, the familiar scent of the place filled his nostrils as he strolled over to his favorite booth and sat down. As usual, he pulled out a piece of paper and pencil before he played with the pencil between his fingers, trying to figure out what to draw.

"Hey, you're Liam right?" A voice entered Liam's ears before he looked up.

"Oh, yeah. I'm Liam," Liam replied.

"I'm Max, nice to meet you," Max said with a small friendly smile on his face.

"Nice to meet you too," Liam replied awkwardly.

"So I've heard that you've been coming here a lot. And I'm sure that you know my good friend Chelsea?" Max asked before Liam nodded.

"If you don't mind me asking, do you and her have a thing going on or?" Max asked, getting straight to the point.

"Oh no, absolutely not. It's totally not like that. Chelsea actually talked about you and it seems like she really likes you," Liam smiled, trying to be friendly.

"Oh really? She talked about me?" Max asked, Liam noticed a tint of pink started to form on Max's cheeks.

Liam's assumption about Max instantly disappeared. He seemed like a friendly guy.

"Max, hi!" Chelsea suddenly appeared out of nowhere and kissed his cheeks.

"So you talked about me," Max smirked at Chelsea.

Chelsea turned her head and glared at Liam. Liam just smirked and shrugged.

"Get to work, Mr!" Chelsea said before she quickly pushed Max away from Liam's booth, still blushing as they both walked away.

Liam chuckled at the couple before turning his attention back to the paper laying down in front of him. Liam groaned in frustration after a couple of minutes, not knowing what to draw.

He then decided to fiddle with his phone. He took his phone from the table and checked his messages. No one sent anything.

He then decided to watch the video that Anderson sent to him a couple of days ago. It was the same video they showed at the meeting, the video of the man and Chelsea walking out of her house and hugging.

Liam played the video and tried to look for details.

When he looked closer, he noticed the man wearing a black jacket with three white lines on each of its sides, simple plain black jeans, dark sunglasses, black mask, and a plain black hat.

Once they pulled out of the hug, Chelsea smiled at the man and kissed his cheek, a detail that Liam missed the last time he watched the video, before she walked back into her house while the man walked away.

Liam then started to get worried for Chelsea. Was she friends with this guy and don't even know what he's done?

Well, she doesn't know what Liam has done himself, or his job.

But Liam knows that he'd never hurt Chelsea. Even though it has only been two weeks, Liam cares for her. And Liam was one hundred percent sure that once this mission was over, he would still continue being friends with her.

What if this guy is actually dangerous? What if he hurts Chelsea? Liam started to get anxious at the thought.

Liam then realized something, his eyes automatically widened. He turned his head to look at Max and studied the jacket he was wearing. Liam then looked back at the footage in his phone.

It couldn't be him...can it?

Max's jacket was very similar to the man in the video's jacket.

"There's hundreds and hundreds of that same jacket, it's just a coincidence," Liam thought.

But what if it's not?

Chelsea said to Liam that there's only two people that's close to her, Josie, whom Liam hasn't met yet, and Max. Chelsea said that her dad lived in another state, so it couldn't be him.

Was the guy Chelsea's dating really him?

Liam then studied the man in the footage more. The quality of the video was not that great but it was very visible that the man was muscular and probably about 5'10.

Liam looked at Chelsea and Max, who were casually laughing and flirting with each other as they stood behind the counter. Liam could see Max's muscles despite him wearing his uniform. He had the same body frame as the man in the video, both men were buff.

Chelsea was average height, probably about 5'4. Looking at the couple's height difference and looking at Chelsea and the man in the video's height difference, Max and the man had the same height. Plus the fact that Chelsea kissed the man's cheek in the video made Liam more suspicious.

He shouldn't instantly assume that it was Max, Liam needed more evidence. From what Chelsea said, Max seemed to be the perfect guy. Sweet, charming, kind, all of that stuff.

"How could a young innocent and kind man such as Max be a murderer?" Liam thought. It was hard to believe. He really needed to find out more about Chelsea's social life and her friends.

It could be Max, but it also could be anyone else. If Liam wants to find out, he needs to get to know Chelsea more.

"I'm not sure if it's him yet, though. I need more evidence," Liam said in a serious and low tone, making sure that only him and Will could hear what he was saying.

"So you have one suspect already. That's great. You sure she doesn't have, like, a sidekick or something?" Will said as he put down his cup of tea on the table between the two young men.

"I highly doubt that," Liam replied.

Will furrowed his eyebrows before he turned his head to look at Max who was serving customers two tables away from them. He studied him for a couple of seconds.

"He doesn't seem like a murderer. I just can't see it," Liam sighed.

Will then turned his head back around to face Liam.

"Don't judge a book by it's cover," Will shrugged. "I mean look at us."

Liam looked away from his best friend. Liam and Will look just like any other normal people. Just two young men enjoying their drinks, no one in the room would've ever guessed that they had killed people. No one in the room would've guessed that they were in the same room with two paid assassins.

"Hey guys, need anything?" Chelsea cheerfully came and stood at their table, interrupting their serious conversation.

"No, we're good," Will smiled at Chelsea.

"Well if you need anything, just call my name," Chelsea said happily before she playfully punched Liam's shoulder and walked away.

"If Max is the guy, then Chelsea's in danger," Liam said worriedly.

"You care for her?" Will asked stunned.

Liam sighed, "yes."

The two then stayed silent, both lost in their own thoughts.
