Liam stepped into Diaz's office, seeing him sitting behind his desk. Liam sat down in front of him on the guest seat. It has been almost three weeks since Diaz gave Liam the mission and ever since, he had been mourning the loss of his wife. He had been in his room most of the time, as Ben had said, and it was obvious he hadn't been sleeping well due to the bags under his eyes.
Today, Diaz finally decided to talk to Liam about the progression of the mission.
"Do you have any leads?" Diaz asked, his voice lower than usual.
"Not yet, sir. I had a suspect a couple of days ago and it was proven the suspect wasn't the guy. I'm still trying to figure it out, Miller doesn't have that many people she's close with," Liam said truthfully.
Diaz nodded in silence and looked down at his thighs. After a couple of seconds he looked up at Liam again as he took off his glasses.
"Liam, you know what kind of person I am. I'm usually very patient… and understanding. But if i have to be honest, i am getting a little impatient," Diaz said, causing Liam to sigh in disappointment.
He was right. Liam should've had another lead right about now but he couldn't figure out who X is as Chelsea didn't have that many close friends. Liam's next thought after finding out that Max was not X was to study her co-workers. But he hasn't been doing that.
A lot had been happening that took his mind off of the mission for these past few days. First a date with Leah and then finding out that Chelsea was his twin sister.
Liam then opened his mouth to tell his discovery but then closed it again before anything came out. Telling Diaz that Chelsea was his sister didn't seem like an important action to do. After all, Chelsea Miller was just a lead that the gang had.
She was just a clue to Diaz, nothing more. So Liam decided to keep the huge information to himself.
"I'm going to try harder, sir," Liam said determinedly, causing Diaz to nod as a response.
"Better keep your word, Liam. You may leave now."

Liam stepped into the incredibly familiar cafe with his drawing supplies in his bag once again. He instantly took a seat at the booth he had been sitting at since day one and put his bag down beside him.
"Hi, what can I get you today?" A young ginger that Liam has never seen before stood by his table with a notebook and a pen in her hands, ready to take his order.
"Hi, I'd like to have a mocha latte, please," Liam smiled.
"One mocha latte, would that be it?" The waitress asked.
"Yes, that would be it, thank you."
"Alright, I'll be back with your order," the girl said cheerfully before walking away.Liam looked around the room and that's when his eyes met Chelsea's. Chelsea waved happily at him before she grabbed the girl who served Liam earlier's hand. She then spoke a few words to the girl before the girl gasped and smiled.
