A/N: sorry for not posting yesterday. I hope you enjoy this though, a little short, but it is wholesome... Kind of.

Frida was walking on deck with Shadow trailing closely behind her. She had been here for 4 days now, and no one had even tried to lay a hand on her unless they were greeting her.

The only problem here was how the dragons were treated. They were kept in cages far too small and many of them were even tied up even when they could barely move.

Frida could understand that Drago wanted to use dragons to take over the world but she didn't understand why he treated them so poorly.

Frida heard a low roar and looked up. One of Drago's personal dragons was currently digging in the wood, probably to find some food.

"Hey there," she said and walked over to it. It looked up and growled menacingly at her. Frida heard Shadow growl back, warning the dragon not to touch her. "It's ok bud," she assured her dragon.

She turned to the dragon again and got out a piece of dried meat she had in her bag. Frida often carried a bag around now. She usually had snacks in there as she still found it weird she was allowed to eat that much.

"Here," she said as she presented the meat.

The dragon slowly walked over to her and carefully smelled her hand before it licked up the meat with a big, slick tongue. It chewed happily on the small piece of meat and began to poke her with its nose to see if there was more.

"I don't think I am allowed to give you more," she said while petting the dragon's giant head.

It groaned sadly but purred as she pet it.

Frida could hear Shadow grumble in the background and she knew he was jealous.

"We usually don't snuggle with our war dragons."

Frida turned and saw two of the warlords walking towards her. The big one and the one with the unique armor.

"Then you should at least give them enough food," Frida responded sternly.

"They get enough, they are just not appreciating the food they get," the same man said.

"A dragon can go weeks without food. You really only need to give them an appropriate meal once every three weeks if they are not training. If they are training you should at least give them a real meal once a week. And they should get something on those days where they aren't necessarily eating a lot," Frida said. The dragon had begun walking away, it clearly didn't want to be there in case they all began to fight.

"Do not educate me on how to treat those monsters!" The man said as he came closer. Frida felt a pinch of panic in her chest but she tried to ignore it.

"You guys are so set on taking over the world. You need strong dragons to do so, not starved skeletons. Think rationally," she argued.

"So we should snuggle up to them and overfeed them just like you do to your dragon?" He asked. Frida did not know his name, but right now she didn't care.

"I have bonded with my dragon, and he receives just enough food to stay healthy and strong," Frida said, backing away as the man came closer. Her breath came in faster as she got flashbacks from her time with her father.

"Chaghatai remember what Drago said about this girl. Besides, I doubt that her dragon would leave much of you if you step any closer," the big one said in a very deep voice.

Frida looked at Shadow and saw how his spine and nose glowed purple while he was growling loudly.

"Down bud," she said while holding out her hand and bringing it down slowly. Shadow turned off his Alpha mode but kept glaring at the warlord.
