Today was the day of the A-Troup Auditions, this time doesn't come around often but when it does the whole studio is determined. They know they need to be the best of the best but not only that
We don't always look for the perfect dancers, sometimes we just need to see a little spark in their face when they dance for them to make it. Everyone starts somewhere and sometimes they need someone to take a chance on them
That is where James and I come in

James.D: Sometimes I wonder what goes through your head. But on the other hand, I know it's best not to ask ;) Who's ready for A-Troupe Auditions!

I chuckled looking up to see James stood there in the exact place he took that photo
"I look like a sweaty mess" I laughed as he came over
"No you don'ttt" He chimed making me roll my eyes
"Have you finished your routine?" I asked him, the way this works is I choreograph one routine and James does another and then we pick half of the people auditioning to see how they handle it
"I've had it ready for ages" He smirked kissing me
"Oh yeah you would have" I rolled my eyes
"They are here" Hope smiled as she walked in
Here goes nothing 

Walking into Studio A, it is booming full of people, some people who were originally on A-Troupe while there are others who are from B-Troupe and finally some brand new faces
"Welcome guys!" James yelled over the crowd
"Welcome to you A-Troupe Auditions! If you have an Even number, you will be with myself" I said
"And if you have an odd number you are with me" James said placing his hand on the arch of my back
"You get three hours to learn the choreography then it'll be freestyle followed by the routines" James said 
"Lets get it!" he finished
"Remember when this used to be us?" I asked smiling at the nervous bunch of kids
"Oh the good old days" He chuckled kissing me
"ready for my kids to blow yours out of the water" James smirked
"Ha, you can try" I laughed walking away from him followed by my kids 

It's been a long hour but I think the kids have the routine down. Now I just have 2 hours of paperwork before the auditions truly start
"Hey babe" James smiled walking into the office
"Hey, how did it go?" I asked and he smirked
"My kids are gonna smash it" He chuckled, James and I do still have a slight competitive side to us and it truly comes out in Auditions. We both get to pick 5 kids each for the team and then 1 each for a alternate
"I think this has to be our best lot yet" I said looking through the papers
"I'd have to agree with you on that one" He chuckled going on his phone
"So I've been meaning to ask you" James said smiling, I looked at him a little confused
"Have you had a look into any wedding stuff yet?" He smirked, I chuckled. I should have known that was coming
"Yeah actually but it's a lot of money so I think we might have to wait until we've got the money to spare" I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes
"Babe, money isn't the problem. Your parents and mine are working together apparently, last time I checked you dad said something about making sure his baby girl had the best day? And I think my dad just wants me wedded off at this point" James said laughing
"I know but we should still put something towards it" I reminded him
"Okay how about we handle the honeymoon?" He suggested, I gave him the look making him laugh again
"Come on Ri" He said not backing down
"Fine! I'll look into it more later" I said making him fist bump the air
"this certainly makes you happy doesn't it" I smirked at him, he looked at me with a grin on his face before coming up very close to my face
"Because I can't wait until the day you are legally mine" He whispered before pressing his lips against mine, I couldn't help but blush
This whole engagement has brought out another side to James, one I wish I had got to see earlier, one that I don't want to ever go away

"See I told you! My kids smashed yours!" James yelled as we walked into the office. It was now 9pm at night, auditions ran later then expected but bloody hell we had a hard choice to make right now
"Do you have any idea who your five will be?" I asked and James nodded
"Without a shadow of a doubt" He smiled. Okay so it was just my hard choice then? Okay thanks babe
"Who?" I asked 
"I want Jasmine, Alexis, Jade, Caleb and Harry" He smiled, I knew that Harry would be on his list if he wasn't he would have been on mine
"Half of those are my kids" I laugh seeing as he made the comment earlier
"What about you babe, who do you chose" James asked, I looked down at the notes I had made during the auditions. There were a few names that made a reappearance, is that out team?
"How about, Sophie, Maisie, Jordon, Peter and Henry?" I asked and James smiled wildly
"Is that our A-Troupe then?" He asked looking at all of the kids head shots
"I think so" I smiled
We then decided on Joseph and Jane as our Alternates but it was surprising how quickly we managed to come up with the A team so easily
"Now shall we head home? I believe we have some wedding planning to do?" James suggested, I chuckled and nodded after sending the emails to all the kids that made it

We got home to be greeted by Mary on our doorstep
"Hey Mary, you alright?" James asked as she looked a little shocked
"Someone is in there" She whispered pointing to my front door
"What do you mean?" I asked 
"Someone, someone is in your flat Riley" She said, I looked at James who was looking at the door. We were very cautious in opening it
"James" I whispered noticing the balcony door was open, We stepped closer in the hope we would see whom ever it was 
"Piper!" James yelled letting his guard down
"What on earth are you doing here?" I asked letting the panic brush off of both of us
"Hey guys" She smiled trying to hide her reasoning for being here
"Pipes what is going on? Aren't you meant to be on tour?" James asked, after Piper left The Next Step, she went on tour with Finn with the help of Chloe's company
"Yeah we are on a small break, so I figured I would come here?" she asked scratching the back of her neck, something was going on and I think it's something she didn't want James to know
"Oh James can you go grab that book for Piper in the office" I asked making him look at me, I shot him a look and he knew what I was doing
He soon nodded before walking away as Piper and I went on the balcony
"What's going on Piper?" I asked, she looked at me before starting to cry
"I don't know how I could be so stupid" She said as I wrapped my arms around her
"what is it?" I asked
"It's Finn" she whispered, I swear to god if that boy hurt her!
"what happened" I asked
"I broke up with him" She cried, I was more then confused
"Why did you do that?" I asked, last time I checked.. Piper loved Finn
"Because he got too close, I almost let him in Riley.. I can't do that" She cried. The thing is with Piper is that she is just like how I was but a bit more extreme. She refuses to let anyone but family in. I was an exception but then again I'm technically family now

"Okay, Listen to me Piper okay?" I asked and she nodded
"You need to stop pushing him away, it isn't fair on him or yourself. I know you don't want to let anyone in, I know you are scared of what could happen but I took that big leap on your brother, I let him in when I promised I wouldn't and look at where we are now" I suggested
"I'm not going to say it's easy because I promise you now it isn't but it will be worth every single second" I said making her smile a little wiping her tears
"What if he won't take me back?" she asked and I chuckled moving all the hair off of her face
"He would be an idiot not to" I said winking at her making her laugh
