Riley

"Haven, congratulations. You've captured the hearts of everyone you've met and you're barely a month old" I smiled looking down at the sleeping infant as I changed her for the 5th time today
"Babe, West and Eldon are here" James said coming into the nursery kissing my cheek
"Alright, I'll finish getting her dressed and then we'll be out" I replied fiddling with the poppers of her baby grow
"How did I get so lucky" James whispered wrapping his arms around my waist resting his head on my shoulder
"Could you grab me her bow from the bassinet?" I asked quietly, I felt James smile before unwrapping himself from me
"Alright Hav, let's go meet your crazy uncles" I smiled as James gently placed the bow on her head

We walked out into the living room to see both Eldon and West 
"Well guys, meet Haven" I smiled making them both look up at the baby in front of them, as soon as their eyes set on her. They were smiling. The same smile everyone else gives her the moment they see her
"Riley" Eldon whispered looking up at me almost tearful, I chuckled as he got up coming over to hug me as James held Haven
"I can't believe you've had a baby" West said now hugging me
"She's beautiful" Eldon said as James gently handed her to him
"We tried our best" I chuckled lightly
Haven has met so many people over the last month that I think we've covered everyone at this point
"I can't believe that we have our first TNS baby" West chuckled and I furrowed my brows at him
"Are you forgetting Emily's Two?" James asked
"No but they weren't TNS Babies, yes Emily was apart of it but Daddy wasn't" West explained only making us chuckle further

"Why does she do that?" West asked, I glanced over from the kitchen to see what she is doing
"What?" Eldon asked, I dried my hands going over to investigate
"Oh that" I smiled
Haven had started doing this thing, whenever James was near or she could hear him. She would reach a hand out to try and touch him
It was pretty adorable to watch
"That's because she knows James is nearby" I replied making James smile at his daughter
"Okay so she is clearly a daddy's girl then" Eldon laughed, I smiled because I knew it was true and I didn't care
"I wouldn't say that too fast, you should see these two at 2am most morning. Riley would be asleep in the rocking chair with her" James said making me roll my eyes
That's maybe happened twice
"Sorry you try waking up every hour with your daughter" I replied giving him a look
"I meant it in a nice way" He replied coming over and kissing me
"When did you two grow up" Eldon asked 

The adjustment between it being just James and I to having Haven around hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be
James surprisingly matured a little over this experience I think
He doesn't mess around as much as he used to, as soon as Haven cries, he is the first to be by her side. Even when I tell him to let her self soothe. Oh we've had plenty of arguments about that
It's crazy that in the matter on 9 months you become responsible for this entire person. You have to help shape them, teach them right from wrong even while you continue to make your own mistakes along the way
She's watching your every move in awe while you watch her make her own movements. Yes They are small things now like a smile or a giggle but one day. She's going to move moutains
