James 

I look at Riley and can't help but think something is going on, she's distant, she isn't talking me about whatever it is.. She is barely talking to me at all
"Babe can you please tell me what is wrong" I asked taking her attention off of the phone
"James I can't" She whispered, I got up of the bed rushing straight over to her
"Why can't you?" I asked and she shook her head trying to hold back tears
"come on Riley, what is it!" I asked, here I was begging on knees wanting to know what is going on.. 
"Don't shut me out" I cried, she looked at me before apologising and leaving
"Riley!" I yelled after her but it was too late, she was out of the front door. I kicked the chair next to me
I just want to know what is happening! Why won't she talk to me.. What is going on

A couple hours later I get to the studio expecting to see Riley there but she wasn't
"Hope, any sign of her?" I asked and Hope shook her head before heading into the Ballet Studio
"James the phone is for you" I heard Ben say, I groaned walking back into the office
"Hello" I asked into the phone
"James, It's Emily. What is going on with Riley?" She asked and I sighed sitting down on her seat
"I don't know Emily honestly, something is going on that is for sure" I said
"Where is she?" Emily then asked but I shrugged
"I don't have a clue, she walked out this morning and I had figured she had come to the studio but she isn't here" I explained
"What do you know" I asked
"Not a lot that will help us, she hasn't returned my calls since about a week ago now. I was asking if you and Ri wanted to come home for some family time soon but she never got back to me. She's going through something and it's making her a moody mess" Emily said 
"I wouldn't go as far as moody mess Em you know you sister deals with things in a different way then we would" I explained and Emily sighed
"Any idea what it could be? Maybe wedding jitters?" Emily asked but I shook my head
"No no we've spoken about it a ton and you know we both know her tell if that is what is bothering her" I replied
"I'm out of idea's then" She muttered
"I know she was arguing with your dad over email recently but I don't think it is that" I responded
"Why is dad arguing with her?" Emily asked
"something about wanting us to move back" I replied
"I've told him to drop that, you and Ri have your own lives out there. He needs to accept that" Emily answered
"Regardless, if you here from Riley at all can you let me know, I'm gonna try some of her favourite spots when I finish here. I'll also call Daniel and see if he's heard from her if not then we'll cross another bridge" I replied
"Alright just keep me updated" Emily answered
"And James, just know whatever it is, it isn't your fault" She continued
"Thanks Em" I replied before we ended the call
Riley where are you..

"Okay A-Troupe! That was an almost perfect run! Keep that up and we'll be at Internationals before you know it, now go home and rest and we'll see you Monday morning" I smiled giving the gang a weekend off, they have certainly earned it
I got back into the office to see there was no sign of Riley yet, I really don't know what is going on but she is starting to worry me
After calling Daniel at lunch, he let me know he hadn't heard from her but he'll try and contact her, Riley hasn't spoken to anyone since she walked out this morning
As much as Emily can tell me this isn't my fault
I can't but think it is. I was the last person to see her, to even speak to her and I have no idea where she has gone
"Hey James" Daniel said coming into the office
"Hey, have you heard from her?" I asked and he shook his head
"I've spoken to a few of her regulars and they said she told them she wouldn't be around for a while though" He said making me furrow my brows
"Why would she say that?" I asked
"I haven't got a clue, is there something going on behind the scenes we should know about?" Daniel asked and I shook my head
"I have no idea what is going on Daniel, she has never done this. I know something has been bothering her but she has completely shut me out" I replied
"Oh James" Daniel said hugging me, I've never been a hugging type unless it comes to Riley but I guess hugging her isn't an option right now
"Maybe get home and get some rest. It's Riley we all know she's safe where ever she is" He replied. I'm pretty sure that is the only certainty we have in this situation

I walk into the flat to find it empty, the chair I kicked earlier still on the other side of the room where I left it, the pillows still messed up after a few punches to it
"Riley" I called hoping she was here but of course she wasn't 
I walked out onto the balcony to see Mary sat on her's
"Hey Jamesy" She said with her usual smile, I smiled slightly hearing her voice
"Hey Mare, you okay" I asked
"Yeah! How's Rileyroo" she asked, she developed nicknames for both Riley and I over these last few years and I won't lie, it is pretty cute
"I don't know Mary, she walked out this morning and hasn't been back since" I said and Mary gave me a look
"Well that isn't true" She replied now earning a look from me
"What do you mean" I asked
"Well shortly after you left she came back for maybe and hour before leaving with a bag" She said, I looked at her in disbelief
"Excuse me Mary" I said leaving her on the balcony while I went back to Mine and Riley's room.

Sure enough, her suitcase was gone, her little one anyway. There was some clothes missing but in place of her was a letter on her dressing table

James, 
I know you are confused, the last thing I want you to do right now is blame yourself. I'm so sorry to be doing this to you but I don't know what else to do
I love you with my whole heart and this isn't how things were meant to end up, this wasn't our plan, this wasn't what we were expecting and I don't know if I can do it anymore
I can't bring myself to even tell anyone without the thought of them being disappointed in me, especially you. 
I never wanted to hurt you, I never wanted to disappoint you
I'm so sorry James
Right now I guess I need some time and space to figure out what is going on

I don't get it, there is nothing she could do that would disappoint me..
"Emily" I said into the phone as Emily answered
"What is it James?" She asked 
"She's gone" I cried, I heard Emily mutter something to her husband before turning back to me
"what do you mean she is gone James?" Emily asked
"I mean, I came home her suitcase is gone with some of her clothes and she left a note" I answered as the tears fell
"What did the note say?" Emily questioned
"something about disappointing everyone?" I offered, I heard Emily move around
"What has she done to disappoint us?" Emily asked
"I have no idea. It's Riley, she could never disappoint anyone" I confessed 
"James, think long and hard is there anything that has happened recently that would have caused this?" Emily rambled, I know she is trying her best to help and understand the situation but there isn't anything
"No it's been a pretty straight forward couple of months, from planning the wedding, the studio etc" I replied and Emily sighed
"I don't know what else to suggest, did the note say anything else" she then asked 
"She said she needs time and space" I replied
"Give her that time and space then James, it's the only option we have but when she comes back, don't dwell on it.. Let her talk when she is ready" Emily suggested, I sighed after hanging up
I threw my phone back on my bed, I just need to know she is okay.. I just want to understand what is going on..
