As soon as my eyes set on James as he walked through the hospital room door. I want to strangle him but at the same time I'm over the top happy he made it "You ever ignore my calls again and I swear to god this is the only kid you'll ever have" I said making him salute before coming over to kiss me "Alright Riley, let's see how we are doing!" The Doctor said coming in and checking me over "Only 8cm dilated, we still have a small amount of time. We'll come and check again in 10 minutes" He then said before taking the nurses out of the room "See I knew I would make it" James said kissing me again "What if you hadn't" I asked gripping his hand tight "Hey, I told you all those years ago. I'll always be there" he whispered "When have I ever let you down Ri" He replied making me smile as he kissed me again

Right here, in this moment holding my baby, I knew this was always the plan for us whether we knew it at the time of not "Time of birth 3:08pm" The doctor said placing the baby girl on my chest. I looked up at James who had tears streaming down his cheek "She's perfect" He cooed looking at her so lovingly. It was evident that she's already captured his heart "Do we have a name for her?" The doctor asked smiling at our exchange I looked back at James and nodded "Haven Mae Davis" He smiled That name was perfect for her. Looking down at her she had her dads dark hair, his cute little nose "She has your eyes" He whispered as Haven opened her eyes every so slightly Mine and James' eyes were pretty similar just a different shade of brown but regardless, she was perfect
"I can't believe it Ri" James said smiling down at our daughter, He hasn't taken his eyes off of her since she made her entrance "You're a dad" I smiled looking at him, he smiled looking over at me before walking over with our daughter "I love you so fucking much" He said before kissing me once more "I love you too" I replied

"Riley, I swear to god, if you are calling me to complain one more time about James, I'll hang up" Emily groaned as she answered my facetime, I chuckled lightly noticing she hadn't looked at the camera "Em" I replied as I watched her put her dishes away "Yeah?" She asked before finally looking down at her phone "oh my god!! Riley!!!!" She squealed placing her hands over her mouth "Mum dad!!" Emily called, of course they are over her house right now "Oh my baby" Dad said smiling "Riley, you're a mumma" My mum said smiling "Meet Haven" James said making all of them smile
It's been a long day and we've finally told all of our families, it wasn't until this point I realised how big our family already was "Can you believe we made something so beautiful" I said to James as I stroked Haven's cheek, James smiled coming over wrapping his arms around both of us "Of course I can, after all she takes after her mum" He said kissing my cheek "I'm so unbelievably proud of you Ri" James smiled "I'm proud of you too" I replied making him furrow his brows at me "You've manage to put up with me through a very hormonal pregnancy" I replied making him laugh "Yeah props to me" He replied earning an elbow to the side "Let me go see when we can get you both home" He replied kissing my head "Alright Haven, it's just us girls here" I smiled looking down at her "I'm not going to lie, you came as a shock to all of us but I think that you knew what you were doing, all I ask is that you are patient with me. This is my first time doing this" I chuckled to myself "I love you more then words will ever explain, I know you are you going to grow up to be the strongest lady I've ever met" I smiled "You're going to take this world and make it your own" I said stroking her hand. Then after a moment or two, Haven's tiny fingers wrapped around my finger making me smile even more This baby is here for a reason, she came at a time that I didn't even realise I needed her. But now she's here I couldn't be more certain about her
