Summary: Steve and Y/N are dating, and Steve got Y/N pregnant. She was planning on telling him before he traveled back in time, but that plan failed miserably.

It was after Thanos. Steve was getting ready to put the stones back. He walks over to Sam and gives him a hug. When they separate, Sam says to him, "Before you go, try waiting for Y/N to get here. She has a surprise for you." Steve's replies, "Ok then. I'll try to wait." Steve walks over to Bucky. Bucky thinks to himself, "Where is Y/N? She needs to tell him. Fast." Steve says to Bucky, "Don't do anything stupid until I get back." Bucky smiles slightly. "How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you." They hug, When they separate, Bucky says, "Be careful. Y/N needs you."

Steve walks back to the platform. He puts his suit on, takes the case of the stones in his hand and walks onto the platform. Around 500 feet away, Y/N starts to pick up the pace with running. "Steve! Wait!!" Steve turns look at her with tears in his eyes. He turns back and picks up Thor's hammer. Sam says to him, "Steve I swear if you leave before she gets here-" She continues her running. "Bruce! Don't let him go!!" She yells. Steve says to Bruce, his voice breaking, "Bruce, now."

Bruce prepares the machine. "In five, four, theee, two, and one." He presses the button as soon as she gets to the platform, and Steve disappears. "No..." She whispers. Bruce clicks away some buttons and says, "Bringing him back in five, four, three, two, one." He clicks a button but nothing happens. They all start to panic. "Bruce, where is he?!" Bucky says. "I thought you said he would only be a minute?!" Sam yells. Bruce retaliates. "He was!" Y/N looks around. She sees a man sitting on a bench by the lake. Bucky walks up to her. "Go talk to him."

She turns around to face him."I can't. You should. He's your best friend." She walks away, and Sam walks with her, putting his arm around her shoulder. Bucky walks up to Steve on the bench. "Why would you do that?" Bucky looks down at him. Steve looks up. "I wanted some of that simple life you were all talking about." He had a smile on his face. Bucky asks him, "What about the life you had here? Y/N really needed to tell you something." Bucky sits down on the bench. Steve says, "What did she need to tell me?" Bucky looks him in the eyes. "She's pregnant. And you left her for a girl who you couldn't get over for 70 years." Steve's smile fades. "H-how far along is she?" Bucky looks back at the water. "A month. She really needed you. And you took that from her. Sorry Steve." He gets up and walks away, leaving Steve with his own thoughts.
