Kai's POV:
As the day goes on, all I can think about it how it's getting closer to that time of the month. No, not that time of the month, I'm talking about the full moon in the lunar cycle. Although some people used to believe that "that time of the month" for girls used to be connected to the lunar cycle. Either way, tonight is going to be the full moon, and I can't wait for it. In a bad way. As a werewolf, you really can't pick-and-choose when you transform. It just kind of happens. And it's always during the full moon.
"Hey Princess. Sleep well?" Loki asks me as I come out of his room. He's making me breakfast, how cute. I can't begin to explain how much I love him. "Not really. I was tossing and turning all night." He walks over and hands me my waffles and sits down with me. "Sorry to hear that. Do you wanna go lay back down and try to rest?" I smile, and he smiles back. "I would love too, but no can do. I'm visiting my mom today, remember?"
"Right, I forgot about that. Are you sure you don't want to just stay in bed all day? I'll volunteer for cuddle time?" I laugh. "Where's the Loki that tried to take over New York?" His smile disappears, and is replaced with his evil smile. He transforms into how he looked when he tried taking over New York, with the slicked back hair and the horns. "You mean me? I've been here the whole time darling." I let out an exaggerated gasp. "Oh no! It's Loki! I hope he doesn't kidnap me and make me his royal partner!" He begins to chase me around the kitchen screaming, "Oh but Kai! My beloved! Of course I will! I will take you to my father, and you will become Kai Laufeyson, my queen! We will live together forever! A bond unbroken!!"
He chases me around for a little while when I suddenly become lightheaded. I slow down, and come to a stop. A wave of a huge headache washes over me, and I crumble to the ground holding my hands to my temples. Loki transforms back to his regular self and rushes to my side, tilting my head up toward him, helping me look into his eyes. "Holy shit, princess are you ok? This is the third time this week. Are you sure you don't want to take a day off from life?" I nod. "Yeah, I need to. It's really important that I go visit her now more than any other time."
He seems to get a little confused, but lets it go. He stands up and puts his hand out so he can help me up. I take his hand and stand up. "When would you like to leave then?" I smile. "In about ten minutes." He pulls me in for a hug and says, well in that case, you'd better get real clothes on." I feel my eyes go wide and my jaw goes slack. "Shit!" I run back to my room, grabbing food on my way. I shove the waffle bit into my mouth as I tried to find clothes that would work for a night that I would be transforming.
Finally settling on a black shirt, pair of jeans, boots, and a long black cloak in case it's needed, I walk back over to Loki and kiss him on the cheek. "I love you, I'll see you soon!" I could hear him yelling his response as I ran out the door and on my way to my mothers house.
Loki's POV:
Something's off. That was the third time Kai had almost fainted. This week. And to top it off, not only did they almost faint but when they looked at me, their eyes turned a deep yellow, then it faded. Something is going on. And I'm going to go find out what.
