"Hey Steve. You wanted to talk to me?" Bucky says to Steve. He nods. Steve takes Bucky's arm and leads him into another room. He turns around and locks the door. "You know how much I love my sister right?" Bucky nods. "Of course, why wouldn't I?" Steve's voice turns firm. "Because I know you have a thing for her. And I don't want her heart broken by my best friend." Bucky's face goes from angry, to understanding. "Ok. I get it. I won't date her." Steve nods. "That was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'm sorry Bucky, I just don't want her to get her heart broken by my best friend." Bucky leaves the room and bumps into Y/N in the hallway.

"Hey Buck!" She says to him. He smiles. "Hey Y/N, can I talk to you for a sec?" She nods and says, "Yeah, of course!" They walk up the stairs and into Bucky's room. He shuts the door, and says to Y/N, "I just finished talking to your brother." Her face falls. "Uh oh." She says. "Did he tell you to back off? I knew this was a bad idea. He's gonna kill you!" Bucky walks up to her and takes her hands in his. "He's not going to kill me doll. I promise you that." She stutters. "B-but, if he doesn't want us to be together for my sake then why are we still doing this? He's just going to find out eventually." The two of them sit down on Bucky's bed and he says to her,

"I don't care what people say when we're together. You know I wanna be the one to hold you when you sleep." She smiles, and says back, "I just want it to be you and I forever." He continues. "I know you wanna leave so c'mon baby be with me, so happily." He smiles at her and leans in for a small kiss on her forehead. "He's not going to kill me, ok doll?" She squeezes his hands, and nods. "I really hope he doesn't." She smiles again, and he pulls her in for another kiss. When they separate, Bucky looks deep into her eyes and says, "I'm in love you with you Y/N Rogers." She smiles. "I love you so much Bucky Barnes." Behind Bucky's bedroom door, Steve think about the whole situation to himself, and decides what he's going to do to fix it.

Time skip to dinner:

"Hey guys." Steve walks into the kitchen where Bucky and Y/N were making dinner. They say their hello's in reply, and he says to them, "Can I talk to you both for a second?" They all put down what they were working on and walk over to the table to sit down. Steve begins the awkward conversation. "So, Bucky, I know I spoke with you earlier today about this but I've changed my mind. Kind of." Bucky and Y/N exchange a glance, already assuming the worst. He wastes no time in getting to the point. "I know about the two of you dating secretly." Bucky and Y/N were absolutely stunned. Bucky tries to explain, "W-well, you see-" Y/N starts, "Here's the thing," but Steve cuts them off.

"I think you two are good for each other. The only reason I "threatened" Bucky was because I didn't want to have to choose between my sister and my best friend if they broke up because in the end, I'd choose her. Sorry Buck." Bucky nods in understanding. "It's fine. If I had a sister I'd choose her over you." Y/N laughs. "Well that's putting it plainly." They all laugh again, and Bucky asks Steve, "So, you're ok with us dating?" Steve nods. "Just don't break her heart, or I will literally kick your ass." Bucky smiles. "I would be counting on it. If you didn't, I would be disappointed."
