Reyah followed me to my house and on the way there I couldn't get her straddling me off my mind.

I walk to the living room and start up the fireplace and walk back to the kitchen to find Reyah making some hot chocolate.

I walked over to where she was and smiled.

"You don't mind do you Madden?"

"Not at all we need that to warm up our bones. Do you want me to order some pizza?"

"Sure sounds good."

I order the pizzas and she carries the hot chocolate to the living room and handed me one.

We sit down in front of the fire and I look over at her and smile. "I really appreciate all you have done for me and the shelter."

"You don't have to keep thanking me Madden because I have really enjoyed helping and even though I haven't said anything it has helped me a lot as well."

"How so?" I asked.

"Because I'm not thinking about my dad and grieving so hard."

"Well, I'm glad I could help you out and now that we have spent so much time together I want to be near you."

"I want to be near you to Madden." She smiled.

I lean in and kiss her lips just as the doorbell buzzed.

"Saved by the bell." She laughed as I went to the door.

I came back with the box and two beers. "I wasn't sure if hot chocolate went with pizza."

"Nah I don't think so but it did warm me up." She smiled.

"You mean my kiss didn't warm you up?"

"Your lips weren't on mine long enough Madden."

"Are you saying you want my lips back on yours?" I smirk.

"Maybe." She said biting her bottom lip.

I set my beer down and moved the pizza box over and move over close to her and she pulls me closer until our lips touch.

Our lips separate and she smiles at me before pulling me back down on her.

I raise up on my hands and look down at her. "You are so beautiful Reyah."

I lean down and kiss her again before sitting up. "We better eat our pizza before it gets cold."

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea. I mean I would hate for my clothes to just fall off." She giggles.

"Wait what? Maybe I want the pizza to get cold." I chuckle.

She smiles at me and grabs a piece of pizza.

"I think you like teasing me."

"I do like teasing you Madden and I'm sorry if you hate it."

"No, I don't hate it I like the banter between us."

We eat a few pieces of pizza and drank a couple of beers. I added another log to the fire while she took the pizza box and empty bottles to the trash.

She came back and sit beside me. "So what made you want to own an animal shelter?"

"Umm, I just love animals and used to bring stray animals home all the time growing up. It just seemed to be my calling.

"I can't say that I have ever had a calling. In high school, I started helping mom with her catering and I enjoyed working with her and I hated school so I knew that was out but I don't feel accomplished."

"You have some skills Reyah."

"Yeah like, what?"

"Look what you did with planning the event for me and what you did to my social media pages as well," I said.

"Yeah I enjoy that stuff but that's it." She shrugged.

"You have great kissing skills," I smirk.

"Is that so? Are you just using me for my kisses?"

"Never but I would like to have more." I smiled.

She leaned over toward me and I wrapped her in my arms and put my hand on her face and caressed it before moving some hair behind her ear.

She leaned in and bit my bottom lip pulling it out a little bit before she moved and pushed me back and straddled my lap again.
