10/22/2021:

I ran into the black cat's owner today. She said his name was Batman. Which is kind of stereotypical for a black cat. Especially a male one.

So when I went to visit him and Mimi today, I told him that I would call him "Buddy". Officially. Which is also really basic, but typically that name is used for dogs. So I guess it's unique for a shy, slightly jittery cat.

Before I had a name for him, I called him Buddy. So I guess it just didn't feel right to call him anything else after a while of seeing him. Plus, that's exactly what he is -- a buddy.

A friend.

Welp, my grandpa asked me to schedule a church meeting in December. On top of all the work I already have.

It's a special meeting, too. Basically in these meetings, you "help" those who weren't baptized while alive and do a baptism for them. My church has a lot of weird things, like doing services for the dead, or even fortune telling. But of course, they never call it those things. They need to have "fancy" names to show their "true meaning".

More like hiding the fact it's all a scam.

At least it's a Saturday today. But church keeps getting in the way of both my school and MPA work, among other things. I just want to be a kid again and relax for a bit, even if it's only a day. Maybe even just an hour.

But I can't rest when there's a potential war on the horizon.

10/24/2021:

It's officially been a month since I last started this journal. And yet, it still feels like the first day.

But I know I've grown.

In just one month, I changed my point of view on the supposedly coming war in 2022, basically adopted two strays, and might have AWTOK/MHO after me. Okay, maybe supposedly having people after you isn't growing, rather, getting worse.

At least I'll grow as a person from this. From whatever happens in the future.

10/25/2021:

This morning, the bus stop was really noisy. There were lots of birds flying around, even in the middle of autumn. I almost wished I could shut them up, but I wasn't in the mood to be attacked by a flock of birds right now.

Other than that, the only other significant thing today was the rumors about the "cat killer" (as he's been dubbed). The rumors are only increasing, and it seems the school is denying the truth. They say it's all "fake", made up by troublemaker kids.

I bet you they just don't want to pay the money for more police to patrol the school.

10/26/2021:

We had a flash flood warning in our area. All of a sudden, the rumors about the "cat killer" have been set aside. But I guess that's natural in a more disaster-like situation such as this.

Maybe the flooding will help hold him off from attacking the school.

I'm also hoping that because of the flooding, there's at least some morning delay. Even a one hour delay would satisfy me. I'm just tired and burnt out (like always I guess), so it wouldn't hurt to have more "break time" per say.

10/27/2021:

I almost forgot to write this chapter at all, solely because I'm so tired after today.

The rumors turned out to be true, and we had a really long lockdown. I didn't get home until an hour and five minutes later than the normal school ending time. Combine that with the fact that the school, police, and even the MPA are all trying to hide the incident, I'm wiped out.

Although I don't necessarily agree with the MPA's decision to hide it.

10/28/2021:

This morning, I did some "looking into things" and research. It seems my school isn't the only one to have sudden attacks. The number of cases like this have been rising. Specifically ones where the attackers don't have actual guns, rather, they have knives and tranquilizers.

All of them seem to be apart of the same organization: the MHO. They all have similar, all black clothing, but not in fancy suits like AWTOK. Instead of the stereotype of a white van, they seem to drive in various-colored sports cars. That's probably where all their money went.

And honestly, I wonder if this is only the very beginnings to the supposed "war" coming in 2022. I mean, I don't really WANT a war to happen, but AWTOK, MHO, and other hunting organizations are having increased sightings. Even after all of this, the MPA wants to hide it. I assume it's so that Mythicals as a society don't panic, but if we knew about it, we could prepare and be safe.

Even my school is hiding it, and still making us attend school. It's the day after the incident and we're still going to school like normal. Decisions like this make me think the school doesn't actually care about us, and only about the profit they can get on "teaching" us.

I guess these are the typical worries of a Mythical, though. Always having to be weary of those around you.
