Yesterday, I was going to discuss a controversial topic within the Mythical community in my entry. But as luck would have it, I closed out the app before saving.

It was literally just my palm too close to the phone screen.

Either way, the damage has been done. And so today, I will attempt to rewrite and explain the topic. Again.

Also, before you continue, please be aware that this entry is much longer than my normal ones. And like I said, it's controversial. Not everyone will agree with my opinion.

The topic is what I like to call "Fiction Mythicals". And you may be wondering what a Fiction Mythical even is.

In simple terms, it's when someone's Mythical type is a type associated with... well, fiction. The most common example is Magical Girls/Boys/whatever gender said Magical Person is. Kemonomimi of fictional creatures is also common (I will use Pokémimi as an example later on in this chapter).

Many Mythicals do not believe Fiction Mythicals are real Mythicals. Their argument is that most Mythicals can be "proven" to exist (I put "proven" in quotes, because this is more or less from the POV of the average, run-of-the-mill person, who would not believe in Mythicals at all).

If that does not make sense, let me use an example. In the cases of Usagimimi, bunnies can be "proven" to exist. Therefore, people-bunny hybrids exist too, according to Mythicals with this belief. More folklore-oriented Mythicals, like a Kelpie, can't always be "proven" to exist, but their existence can't be denied either. There is no "proof" they don't exist.

But Fiction Mythicals? They were fictionally created, and there is physical evidence of it. We know how Digimon or Yoda (whatever his species is, I'm not sure) were created for entertainment, and are Fiction. So because they are fiction, they cannot exist in reality.

According to this belief, anyway. But my opinion is... mixed?

Personally, I do believe in Fiction Mythicals... the majority of them anyway.

Here is my counterargument -- technically, subliminals and spells work off of your mind and it's imagination. If you can fully and vividly visualize yourself as something like a Pokémimi, and have something such as a subliminal for it, it still should work. There is nothing preventing it from not working.

It might take a little longer, since the DNA for such creatures are most likely not already existing, but it will still happen.

However, there are certain Fiction Mythicals that I don't believe are Mythicals. Which sounds harsh, but let me explain.

"Fiction Mythicals" like ghouls from Tokyo Ghoul, titans from Attack on Titan, and demons (specifically ones from Demon Slayer, not the actual Demon Mythical of the same species name), are all ones I do not believe exist. That probably is breaking some hearts out there, but there is no point in lying about it.

Of course, these are only a few examples. And of all of those shows, I have only seen Demon Slayer (just for people wondering).

But why is it that I don't believe in these Mythicals?

Firstly, these are all creatures that, if I'm correct, literally exist to kill and harm humanity. They actually are dangerous, with no intent of being nice, like "real" Mythicals.

Second, they are very similar to already existing Mythicals. In the case of Demons from "Demon Slayer", you might as well just say you're a Vampire and be done. Because that is really all a Demon in the show is.

Lastly, these Mythicals just don't feel... real.

From my experience, they never seem to care about other Mythicals, only ranting about themselves and the show their type is from. I think a better explanation would be that they are having a hyperfixation or phase on that show/fictional media, and just wish to feel more emerged in the world of said media.

As quickly as they decide they are a "Fictional Mythical", they decide they don't want to be a Mythical anymore. And that's just not how it works.

Being a Mythical tends to be a very spiritual thing; even if it's not, it makes up who you are. You can't erase it suddenly like that.

Anyways, that's basically the gist of it. Sorry this entry was so long.
