Today's entry will continue the story I started yesterday, so this may also be an entry longer than my typical readers are used to.

Yes, in that "eye-awakening dream", so to speak, I finally saw my own reflection, seeing my Nekomimi form. However, because of previous events (and the reflection being a bit foggy), I thought I had finally discovered my Werewolf form. Which, you may be thinking, "Why didn't you notice that something was off? You weren't in a full wolf form; that sounds more like Okamimimi".

At the time, I didn't really know what an Okamimimi was. And E and her pack had described Werewolves as "taking the appearance of a human, but with a wolf's ears on their head instead of human ones, and a wolf's tail extending from the tailbone". Which is definitely the description of an Okamimimi, not a Werewolf.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Werewolves humans who shift into full wolves on the full moon? I believe an Okamimimi could also be a Werewolf, but if they are turning into an Okamimimi on the full moon, then wouldn't they be a Wereokamimimi (I know, quite a mouthful)?

This is why I think E was a bit... uninformed. And this misinformation was also what led me to mistake my cat ears for wolf ones.

Even after my discovery, I don't think the pack believed me, except for maybe A. Maybe. It was mostly because I was "physically weak" and didn't "fit into the Werewolf stereotypes/traits". Specifically, I wasn't physically strong, which led the pack to automatically assume I was just lying to find somewhere to fit in. Which was literally the only stereotype I DIDN'T fit into. Other than me not liking pig meat I guess, which they saw as odd, because wolves are supposed to be carnivores. But I liked plenty of other types of meat, so I don't really see the issue there?

Either way, my search ended there, until 2019, when A approached me again. Specifically, the school year had just started, and during the summer between the end of the previous school year, and the new school year, I had become a lot less naive, and had "matured" quickly in a short amount of time. At the time, I was trying to learn to "unlock" my Nekomimi form, so to speak.

So when A approached me, I was hoping for advice. Because of my seemingly more mature nature, the conversation went a lot more smoothly than the ones from the 2018 school year. By this point, I still had continued dreams about my Nekomimi form, and had gotten a better look at my appearance. However, I had also started to doubt whether I was actually a Werewolf, or something else.

I expressed my concerns to A, giving more details on my "dream appearance", which was when she decided that I probably wasn't a Werewolf. Rather, that I was some other form of "Kemonomimi": a completely new term I hadn't heard before.

From here, she kind of vented to me: stating that E was extremely stubborn, AKA, her fatal flaw. Something I had already noticed, but hadn't said anything. However, because E was so stubborn, she had refused to interact with Mythicals online, saying how that was much more "dangerous" than interacting with Mythicals in person. And so, she had become shielded from the real world, not truly realizing all the other abundant types of Mythicals out there.

To her, it was just Werewolves, Vampires, and the occasional "Troll" or "Faerie". No Merfolk, no Avians, no other Kemonomimi. In fact, she probably is a Kemonomimi, and hadn't realized it because of this "stubbornness". A explained that she actually knew a lot of information on Mythicals in general -- not just Werewolves and Vampires, but plenty of other types. However, she couldn't share them with her pack, because whenever she did, she was shut down, and told they "didn't exist".

My existence (or at least, meeting another Mythical that wasn't a Werewolf or Vampire in person) proved that E was wrong. And so, A promised to teach me about Mythicals, and help me find out what I actually was, on the condition that we don't speak again after I found out what I truly was.

It didn't take long from there for us to discover that I was a Nekomimi.

Because of the short time it took, she didn't get to fully teach me everything she knew. This left me to research the rest on my own, and now, I probably am more knowledgeable on Mythicals than she was at the time. Since it took a few years to get to this point, I didn't consider myself to truly be a Mythical until 2019. And in 2020 was when I was hired by the MPA.

So yeah. That's my story. If requested, I can take pictures of some of the letters I wrote, and post them here.
