Cathy pov

The week after the Quidditch match, the exams came around.

While the students studied in the common rooms and library Violet and I were outside.

We were sitting by the lake talking about what we'd give on the exams.

"I think I'm just going to do a test about what they know about the history," Violet said.

"The history?"

"Yeah any history to do with magic," she shrugged.

I nodded.

"Did you know dad's going to do an obstacle course for them,"

"Really?"

"Yeah," I grinned, "want to turn it into a slide after all the exams?"

She grinned, "Make it lead to the lake?"

"With a jump at the end?"

At this point we were both grinning mischievously at each other.

"This going to be so much fun,"

"And the weather is great for it to,"

Time skip

It was Thursday today.

It was the third years turn to do their course.

Dad had compiled a sort of obstacle course outside in the sun.

Just like all the other years.

We had helped him set up this, because we wanted to demonstrate.

And since he didn't allow us to do the slide with third years and lower this is what we could do instead.

The third years had to wade across a deep paddling pool with a Grindylow in it.

Cross a series of potholes full of Red Caps.

Squish their way across a patch of marsh while ignoring misleading directions from a Hinkypunk.

Then climb into an old trunk and battle with a new Boggart.

Violet had done the demonstration for the second years, so it was my turn to do these.

"Ms Lupin-Black shall be demonstrating it now," said dad turning to me," Ready?"

I nodded and stood at this beginning.

"Go ahead,"

I jumped in the pool.

Beginning to swim I look around for the Grindylow.

I did pull me under but I broke free and continued swimming.

I got past the Red Caps easily.

I ignored the Hinkypunk.

Then battled the Boggart.

Once I was done the students applauded and waited their turn.

Walking towards dad I hugged him.

He was surprised and asked what was wrong.

I didn't answer.

He hugged me back and stayed like that.

Making Violet tale over the student safety job.

Some students were looking at us, but then looked back at the student currently in the water.

I let go and gave him a weak smile.

I then walked towards Violet and did the same.

She wasn't as shocked so she hugged me back immediately.

We stood and watched the kids do the course.

Draco had just finished it and came over to us.

He had also gotten full marks.

He sat down leaning his head on Violet's shoulder.

She wrapped her arm around him.

I smiled.

"Excellent, Harry," dad said.

I turned to him.

Harry was climbing out of the trunk, grinning.

"Full marks," Said dad.

Harry, like many others, hung around to watch his friends.

Many students did very well until they reached the Hinkypunk, which would successfully have confused them.

Hermione had done everything perfectly until she reached the Boggart.

After about a minute inside it, she burst out again, screaming.

I got up, quickly standing by her side.

"Hermione!" said dad, clearly startled, "What's the matter?"

'What do think is the matter?' asked Ayla sarcastically, 'She just faced a boggart,' she continued.

'You know he can't hear you right now, right?' I asked her.

'I know he's just being stupid'

"P-P-Professor McGonagall!" Hermione gasped, pointing into the trunk.

'Minnie is her Boggart?'

"Sh-she said I'd failed everything!"

'Oh, that makes more sense'

It took a little while to calm Hermione down.

But at last with the help of chocolate, she did.

They left and we talked to dad about to day after tomorrow.

Time skip

I was walking alone towards the Womping Willow.

Violet wasn't here since she was surveying the twin's detention for Minnie until she took over.

Which meant it was just Moony and me for now.

Arriving at the tree he wasn't there.

Which was a bit strange since he always waits near the tree, but not close enough to get hit.

I ignore it immobilizing the tree and jumping down the hole.

Not seeing him I get a bit concerned.

'Did he forget?'

'Maybe he's in the room waiting for us,' says Ayla.

'Yeah he probably is'

I start walking.

'Do you smell that?' asked Ayla.

'No, what is it?'

'The trio and moony'

'What are they doing here?'

'I also smell a changling'

'Like the last one?'

'Yes'

'Are you sure?'

'Positive,' she says

I pull out my wand and silently walk upstairs.

'What are they all doing here?'

I think to myself, while walking up the stairs.
