A/N: three months guys i'm so SO sorry you deserve better pls don't hate me
"My Aurora was...a sweet girl, in all honesty." Loki sighed, clearing his throat as he spoke softly, his face marred with a great sort of pain like he was being cut up from the inside slowly, bleeding out.
"Many may had known her as a short tempered, sarcastic woman, incapable of showing any emotion other than boredom..." He continued, a light smirk pulling up the edge of his lips for just a moment, before it fell again.
"But I would've told them they were only seeing what she wanted them to, and that the sheer complexity of her underneath it all was something they would've been lucky even to catch a glimpse of. Her outstanding beauty in the silent ways she lived, so hypnotic and alluring to see." He continued, managing to conjure a slight tear hovering over his lower lash line.
There was a somber sort of silence that lasted then, drawn out over the room in a bid to draw tears into the eyes of the onlookers.
"I honestly believed she could live forever. Her immense energy and just the sheer depth of her chaotic soul seemed like such an ageless power, that I confidently believed there couldn't be a single force on earth that would ever quell it..." He uttered coolly, his voice cracking all the same.
"And so I suppose that was why it came as such a shock to all of us...that all it really took was a handful of peanuts-"
"Cut!" I called out, shaking my head as I stood from the sofa, folding my arms across my chest as I glared at him disapprovingly. I scoffed loudly as the sound of a low chuckle filled the room.
"Did you just snicker...when announcing my cause of death." I gasped, flipping him off when he bent over, his shoulders shaking violently with laughter. He held up a hand in apology but was still grinning, trying to hold back his wheezing when he stood straight again and shot me an affectionate look.
"Do you find my fatal peanut allergy funny huh?" I raised an eyebrow, trying to bite back my own laughter at the hilarity still etched clearly on his face.
"Ora, sweet thing. Forgive me for laughing but do you not find amusement in this scenario that an ex assassin met her end through no other than a peanut?"
"Handful...of peanuts asshole." I sniffed.
"Right right of course." He chuckled, still grinning widely as he stepped up to me and stroked a gentle finger over my cheek.
"Just...remind me. Why are we doing this again?" He queried and I rolled my eyes, turning to walk away before I was sharply pulled back and twirled around into his arms again. I let out a shaky breath as he pressed his forehead against mine, but still swallowed and hardened my expression again, wanting him to know how deeply and utterly serious this whole thing was.
"In the case of my demise. I wanna know who would be best suitable to deliver my eulogy." I cleared my throat, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips before pulling out of his embrace and making my way into the kitchen with him following. Still laughing.
"Well that would be me of course."
I scoffed.
"Aha, no. Not if you're gonna laugh all the way through my tragic death." I snorted, brandishing a wooden spoon at him before he could get too close and whisk me up into his arms again so that I lost my thought again.
"Well don't eat a handful of peanuts then and I won't." He shrugged, grinning.
"You're a right wanker you." I huffed, but he quickly slid up behind me, pulling the spoon out of my grip before pulling me up against him by my waist. He pressed his face into the crook of my neck, peppering my throat with light kisses that practically melted me on the spot.
