The New Ninja

Ch.2 Stranger Danger

"No, no no no no, no! You can't leave me! Please! I can't live with out you!" I woke up with a start.

My breath was ridged and I was covered in cold sweat. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. 'What was that?' Crosses my mind as I look at the clock. 8:00. Good. Time to get up anyways. I walk downstairs and see Caleb 'watching' the news. I end up catching snips of sentences like, "New Danger... Snake-like... Do not approach.." Shelby- the news anchor- says with a great urgency.

I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen where Hannah was cooking some delicious breakfast. She was making scrambled eggs, sausage links, and some buttered toast. My stomach growled in anticipation. "Hungry are we?" She says in a joking manor. I smiled. "You know it,"

Breakfast was done by the time mostly everyone was awake. "Breakfast!!!" Molly yelled as everyone came running down the stairs. I walked up the stairs to get Liv because I knew she was still asleep. I turned on the light and jumped on her bed. "Wake up!!!!" I yelled while shaking her violently. Nothing.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed the water bottle that we keep on the bedside table. I unscrewed the lid and dumped it all over her face. She sat up with a start, her curly hair going in all directions. "What!! What happened?!" She yelled.

"Breakfast is ready."

We all sat at the table eating our breakfast when we heard a knock on the door.

"I got it," I said as I wiped my mouth. I got up and walked to the door. I opened it to see an old man with four guys in different colored hoodies. "Greetings, Samantha. May we come in?" The old man asked. I creased my brows. "Who are you and how do you know my name?" I asked hastily. "Who is it?" Liv asked as she walked up to the door.

"I am Sensei Wu and these are the ninja. May we come in? I have something very important to tell you and I'd much rather do it inside." I opened my mouth to object but Liv beat me to it. "Yeah, sure. Just give us a second to clean up." She said as she invited them in.

Liv went off towards the kitchen and I watched the strangers carefully. "The Living room's this way." I said with my arms crossed as I led them in there. "Who is it?" Caleb asked from on the couch. "who are you guys?" He asked them.

"I am Sensei Wu and these are the ninja. This is Kai, ninja of fire," he said while gesturing to the one in a red hoodie and with spikey brown hair." Cole, ninja of earth," he said while gesturing to one in a black hoodie and long black hair. " Jay, ninja of lightening," he said while pointing to the one in a blue hoodie and auburn hair. "and Zane, ninja of ice." he finished while pointing at the one in a white hoodie and had a blonde buzz cut.

"Well it seems like you already know us," I mumble. "Well, you guys can still introduce yourselves if it makes you stop complaining," Kai grumbled. I glared at him. "How about I kick you out of my house? That'll make me stop complaining." I snapped. "Enough!" Wu snapped. "Kai, we are guests here. You need to respect that."

All of a sudden, everyone started piling in. So, all of us were cramp packed in the living room sitting on the furniture and the ground. I was standing with my arms crossed. "So, uh, Sensei Wu what was it you needed to talk to us about?" Liv asked. I saw Kalyn lean over to Molly and 'whisper' "So why are there four hot guys in our living room?" Molly rolled her eyes and told her to listen to Wu.

"Well Olivia, there is a new threat arising. They call them selves the Serpentine. There is the Fangpyre where anything they bite turns into a serpent, the Constrictai where they 'constrict' your movement, the Hypnobrai where they hypnotize you, the Venomari where they spit venom into your eyes and give you powerful hallucinations, and the Anacondrai where they turn invisible. You six have been chosen by your ancestors to be the new ninja and help save the world from the Serpentine."

We all looked at him as if he was crazy. "Really?" Liv asked. "Yes, I saw it in the spirit smoke myself." I glared at the old man. "Absolutely n-" "When do we start?" Liv asked. I glared at her. "You will come with us tonight and start your training tomorrow," Wu said. "Come on!" Liv yelled as she ran upstairs with everyone else except Caleb and I.

"I'll get your stuff," I told Caleb. I took one last look at the group and walked upstairs with the rest of the girls.

After we arrived on 'Destiny's Bounty' the boys showed us our rooms.

Caleb had to share with the boys and we had to share ours with this girl named Nya. We got into our room and I got a good look around. The walls were wooden and the bunk beds were bare. 'Thats gonna change real quick.' I thought to my self as Kalyn started freaking out. "I don't know how anyone could have lived in this room ever! I mean it's so plain!" She shrieked. I shook my head and started placing my things on a bottom bed that had a perfect view of the sky. Liv set her's on top and Hannah's was right across from mine.

After everyone was settled, a girl with a black bob and tan skin came in. "Oh! You guys must be the new ninja! I'm Nya, Kai's sister and your new room mate!" She said with excitement lacing her voice. " Yeah! I'm Kalyn and this is Molly, Hannah, Liv and her older sister, Sam," Kalyn said introducing all of us. We all gave slight nods when she said our names and Liv waved.

"Oh the boys wanted me to tell you guys that dinner's ready. I would be careful though, It's Cole's night to cook dinner," She said with a shiver. "How bad can someone's cooking really be? I mean it can be as bad as Kalyn's," Hannah says to Nya. "Hey!" She yelled, "I'm not that bad!" "You burnt cereal!" Molly argues back. "How's that even possible? You know what-nevermind. Let's just go," Nya said as she led us to the dining room table.

I sat down by Liv and took a look at the dish. It was filled with a puke green liquid that had little reddish-brown flakes in it. "Um, what exactly is this?" Molly asked. "I really don't know," Kai told us. I put my spoon in it and stirred it. When I brought it up, the front part of the spoon had dissolved. "I'm not eating this," I told them while standing up to go to our room. "What? Why?" Cole asked as he came out from the kitchen. "because it disintegrated my spoon!" I told him while starting to walk out.

"Sam! Wait!" I heard Liv call. I turned around to face her. "What?" I asked. "Give them a chance. I know you don't like them but, you don't know them. Just give them a chance," she pleaded. I crossed my arms and sighed. "Fine, but I'm not eating that," I pointed at the dining room. "Just try it. Who knows? You might actually like it," she said with a smirk on her face. I huffed and we both walked back to the table. All of the ninja were staring at us expectantly. I rolled my eyes, took Liv's spoon, and ate a bite of the 'soup'. I shrugged. "I've tasted worse,"

The ninjas' eyes were as big as saucers and Cole looked like he won a gold prize. Cole jumped up and did a little happy dance. "Ha! Finally! Someone knows what real cooking is!" He shouted happily as the ninja gave him money. "You guys bet on this?" Hannah asked. Molly handed Cole five bucks. "Molly? You too?" Liv asked. "I can't believe you guys," I said as I started walking away. "By the way, I never said it was good. All I said was I've tasted worse." And with that I went into the room and went to sleep.

Here's the second chapter for you!

Sorry I haven't been updating my stories. I broke my finger and I had to go to the hospital. It's fractured right at the knuckle and hurts like crap. Anyways, I'll try to update but I might have to have surgery to get the piece of bone out. I know I changed the 'bad guys' to the Serpentine and if you don't like that, I'm sorry but I just got season one and two for Easter and I'm re-watching all the episodes. I might still use the Arachnids or I might use them for another story. So, wish me luck and until next time,
