The New Ninja

"No, no no no no, no! You can't leave me! Please! I can't live with out you!" I screamed while tears poured down my face.

I lifted his head higher with my elbow and he grunted in pain. He whispered, "S'okay, you have to carry on with out me. Take care of our little girl. Make sure she knows about her father."

I could taste my salty tears as they rushed in my mouth. "I will, I promise," I whispered. "Sing for me?" I let out a shaky breath and started softly singing.

"Your tears will dry,"

"Your heart will mend,"

"Your scars will heal,"

"And you will dance again,"
