Ch.4 Taking Out the Anger

I quietly walked back into the girls' room

I shut the door gently and slid down the side. A flashlight shined down on me. "So, where have you been?" Hannah asked me. "Nowhere," I say way too quickly. "I don't believe that for a second," she replied. "Fine. You caught me. I was in the infirmary.." I hesitated. "And?" She edged. "..And...I kissed Kai," Hannah shot straight up in her bed. "What!?" She yelled loudly. "Shh! You'll wake-up the entire ship!" I hissed.

"Sorry... It's just-Wow. Isn't that your first kiss?" I nodded shamefully. "Well, how was it?" She asked. I blushed scarlet. "It was amazing," I said while looking at the floor. "What'd I tell you?" She said with a smug look on her face. "Please, don't tell anyone," I begged. "I'll try my best," she answered.

I got dressed in my pajamas and climbed into my bed. "Thanks Hannah," I whispered. "mhm," she mumbled sleepily. I closed my eyes and fell into a sleepless slumber.

~Hannah's P.O.V.~

"What's gotten into Sam?" Molly asked the next morning.

"Yeah, she won't stop smiling and every time she's around Kai, she blushes," Kalyn told us. "Maybe they're planing something?" After a few more guesses, Kalyn had a suggestion. "Maybe she got laid!" All the girls nodded and agreed. "How stupid can you guys be? They obviously kissed!" I hissed quietly to them. "Oh!" They said at the same time. "Who?" Kalyn asked. "Kai and Sam, Smart-one," I hissed while smacking the back of her head. "Ow," Kalyn complained while rubbing the back of her head.

"How do you know, Miss Know-It-All?" Molly asked. I rolled my eyes. "because she told me, Dipwad," I said in an obvious tone. Molly glared at me and stormed out. A couple of minutes  later Sam came running into the kitchen. "How could you!" she yelled," I trusted you!" "Well, it was either that or you guys did the nasty," I defended myself. Sam gave an angry sigh and stormed back out.

~Sam's P.O.V.~

I stormed into the living room.

I crossed my arms and huffed out a breath of hot air. I was so caught up in- everything, I didn't even notice Kai sitting on the floor playing a video game. I immediately blushed at the thought of being in a room with him...alone. So, I decided to start a conversation.

"So, whatcha playing?" I casually asked. I swear Kai jumped up like six feet in the air. "Geeze Sam! Don't sneak up on people like that!" He yelled. I giggled. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," I apologized. "It's fine. But since you asked, I'm playing Fist-2-Face 3," he told me while turning back to his game. "I have the high score," he gloated.

"How do you play?" I asked slightly embarrassed. "What? You've never played video games before?" He asked with a sarcastic tone. "Actually, I haven't. I've had to work all my life to put food on the table and so Liv could go to collage!" I defended myself angrily. "What about your parents? Why couldn't they get a job? Were they deadbeats?" He asked. "Because they were dead! You asshole!" I yelled while storming out of there.

~Liv's P.O.V~

I smiled as I felt his arm snake around my waist.

"Good Morning," he said in a husky morning voice. "It is now," I reply as I flip over to face him. He chuckled softly. "You know, you're good at being quiet. They didn't hear you come in at all last night," he told me. "Is that a complement?" I asked with a smile. Jay blushed. "Maybe.." he whispered. I leaned up and pecked him on the cheek. "Then thank-you."

"I should complement you more," he said with a smile. "Definitely," I tell him. "It's not like it'll be hard. I mean there's just so much, your looks, personality, everyth-" I kissed him on the lips.

"Just stop talking,"

~Sam's P.O.V.~

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

My fists ached while I slammed them against the punching bag.

I was so angry I didn't even notice. I felt a hand on my shoulder and whipped around mid-punch. The person caught my fist. "Woah there, Cupcake. That punching bag can't fix all your problems." I looked up to see Cole. "Sorry," I mumbled as I took my fist back. "Hey, what happened?" He asked. "I don't want to talk about it," I told him as I stared at the ground.

"What happened to your fists? They're bleeding." I looked down at them to see that they were bleeding heavily. The scabs must have broke open. "Let's go to the infirmary so I can patch up your hands and you can tell me what's bothering you." A sigh was my only protest as he led me there.

When we got there, he cleaned out my wounds. I winced when he poured the alcohol on them. "So," he started as he was putting Neosporin over my wounds. "You wanna tell me why you were beating that punching bag til there was nothing left?"

I sighed. "Only if you promise not to tell anyone." He crossed his fingers over heart. I took a deep breath. "Ok. I got fired from my job. I have to take extra classes in high school. Last night, I had my first kiss with Kai. I'm pretty sure my sister's dating Jay. Hannah told my secret. And Kai called my parents deadbeats." Cole's eyes widened. "You kissed Kai?" He asked sadly. I frowned. "Yeah, but he disrespected my parents," I said sadly. "I don't think we can ever be together, unless he apologizes."

"Sam, you don't have to wait around for a guy like him. You're  worth so much more than that," he told me. I just looked at him. He slowly leaned down an pressed his lips to mine.
