Ignis x Reader [Welcome To Hammerhead]

It was just another sunny day out in the small town of Hammerhead, not many people coming in and out of the place like normal; but that was just a normal day for you who worked with Cindy in the garage with Cid; you were hired a couple of weeks ago and loved building and repairing basically anything from cars to big machines.

on the normal day you were coming back from your lunch break at the diner next door to the garage, that's when the sight of Cindy talking to four guys caught your attention; you walked over seeing the most breathtaking car in your life not to mention seeing the guys were pretty cute but one stood out and that was the man who wore the glasses and looked like a lawyer in your mind.

"Ah, [Y/n] just back in time" Cindy said with a bright smile like always.

the gaze of the men was brought to you, you crossed your arms switching from one foot to the other putting on a gentle smile.

"Hi, I'm [Y/N] I work with Cindy and Cid" you said to them all trying not to be nervous since you always were in front of strangers.

"Pleasure [Y/N], I'm Ignis Cindy says you were the best at fixing anything" Ignis smooth talking made your heart jump and made butterflies flutter in your stomach.

"That I can learned from the best, I'll get started in the garage" you said with a bright smile on your face, Ignis couldn't help but smile at your bright one seeing how much you loved working this job.

walking pass the boys you went to the garage to start work on the car making them wait outside of the garage as you worked on the car inside; taking good care and still learning some tricks from Cid when he would point out of few things about the car since he knows it better than anyone else.

After doing some of the easy bits on the car, being covered in grease here and there you didn't mind at all that you were dirty; this was a job you loved.

"I can handle the rest, you go out for a bit" Cid said to you as he grabbed another tool off of the bench beside him working on the last part of the car.

"You got it" you smiled as you walked out of the garage washing your hands on a cloth you grabbed on the way out.

You smiled when your eyes landed on Ignis speaking to the prince about a few things, so you walked over wanting to one talk to Ignis and two tell them the car would be done soon.

"How's the car coming along?" Noctis said once his eyes saw you coming their way making Ignis turn to let his attention to you now.

"She's almost ready, Cid's just given her a few upgrades so this doesn't happen in the future for a while" you said with a smile placing one hand on your hip.

"We appreciate you fixing the car" Ignis said with a warm smile on his fade that made you blush a bit.

"Well, I would pass a chance to work on an amazing car like that" you smirked given him a wink with a chuckle following after that which made Ignis chuckle himself.

Noctis looked between you both for a moment before smile and slowly slipping away from you both leaving you to talk to Ignis one on one; you both barely noticed him leaving at all as you both started small talk and soon began finding out small things about each other that was pretty much the same he made you laugh a couple of times you also did the same with your witty jokes about things that happen around here, you couldn't remember when the last time you talk to someone this long let alone a man like Ignis.

Soon the time was up for the car to be finished when Cindy brought it out of the garage humming like a kitten.

"Ya boys make sure ya'll stop on in again for tune ups" she said with her smile.

"We sure will miss Cindy" Prompto spoke with a bright grin and lover boy look in his eyes which made you chuckle under your breath.

"And if you guys need the regalia picked up I'm always free for the pick up" you smiled since you normally did the towing for cars that break down.

"I will remember that, here take this" Ignis said before handing you a piece of paper making you smile and blush.

"You can call me any time you wish" he said with a warm smile before opening the car door and sitting in the driver seat closing the door.

"I'll keep that in mind, Ignis" you smiled brightly at him.

Ignis smiled at you making your heart just jump again when you guys said your goodbyes for now, waving at them as they drove off heading to who knows where. You looked down at the paper in your hand seeing Ignis gave you his phone number making you excited.

"So do I hear wedding bells in the future?" Cindy teased you.

"Oh stop it" you pushed her playfully making you both laugh walking back to the garage to get back to work but not before you added Ignis' number to your cell phone making your smile never leave you face as your day went on.
