Prompto x OC

"Is this the underground lab, Cindy asked us to find?" the voice of Prompto spoke up to his friends when they came across a staircase that was heading downward out in the middle of nowhere.

"Apparently, labs like these were hidden throughout the war; the empire uses to kidnap children from of the streets or from their families, the rumors of what happened within the labs are not a pretty thing to hear" Ignis explained while they ventured down the stairs into the old lab turning on their flashlights in order to light their way.

The lab gave off the abandoned/creepy theme going on for it and seeing all the old cells to the old surgery tools brought everything to the imagination to the boys as they looked around for the item they were looking for, for Cindy.

"Um, guys anyone else feel like we're being watched?" Prompto couldn't help but speak up while glancing around feeling like something or someone was watching them.

"Don't be a baby, no one has been in here for years only things you'll find here are deamons" Gladio spoke up looking at Prompto unknowingly to them that Prompto was right about a figure watching them, swiftly moving through the cracks and shortcuts throughout this lab they lived in for over fifteen years.

Walking further inside they came to a room that held cells for the children that were taken from the world outside, the boys could only imagine what these young kids went through and how they had become the soldiers they fight today.

"Okay guys I am serious something is watching us" Prompto spoke up again feeling an uneasy feeling go up his spine.

"Honestly, how many times are you going to-" Noctis was speaking this time turning his attention to his friend, but he slowly stopped speaking when he could see a shadow move behind Prompto that made him stop speaking.

Prompto froze when he heard a growl from behind him, giving out a yelp he turned around seeing glowing eyes looking at him while hearing it growling as it grew closer to the group; the sight of the animal was a large beast of a wolf but how would a wolf get down here and not crawl out to go hunting. In a flash the animal charge with unspeakable speed that it was hard to see it charge, but Gladio was fast enough to block its fangs from Prompto who was in front of them; pushing the wolf away with a strong force making it crash into some supplies in the corner making it yelp in pain allowing the boys to draw their weapons. But the sound of a human whimper changed their plan of attack when they saw the once wolf move and morph into a human now, Ignis pointed his flashlight towards the corner allowing them to see a human woman in replace of the wolf who attacked them a second ago.

"A girl?" Noctis was confused when he took a step forward only to be met with the girl backing away from them in pure fear.

"Let me try" Prompto said putting his weapons away and kneeling down in order not to frighten her more.

Slowly walking closer to her he noticed her hair was white and very long it probably went to her feet if she stood up; her eyes were a beautiful cornflower blue they were enchanting to look at as Prompto creeped closer to her, the faint sight of scars and old burns he could see told him she was a fighter and only came back with minor injuries.

"Do you have a name?" Prompto asked when he was about an arm reach length from the frightened woman.

"A-Augustine" she stuttered a little still keeping her eyes on all of them thinking who would attack her first or planning how to escape them.

"I'm Prompto, how long have you've been down here?" he gave her a warm smile before asking her more questions that could help them understand.

Augustine shrugged her shoulders not really knowing how long she truly has been down here, keeping her eyes on them all she didn't focus on Prompto alone when the other three were standing behind him on guard themselves. The sight of the wolf ears on her head and the tail behind her didn't go unnoticed to Prompto now that he got a closer look at her, the stories Ignis spoke about the lab doing things to unwanted children back in the war made his gears turn to think about that she might be one of those kids left here once the lab was left abandoned.

"Do you want to get out of here? We can help you" Prompto tried to offer his hand to her trying to help her get out of this old, abandoned place she has been stuck in.

But she couldn't bring herself to trust stranger, in a quick flash she suddenly vanished leaving the boys alone in the room of empty cells; Prompto was sadden about this knowing she needed help, but she couldn't trust anyone but herself and she felt safer here.

"A beastskin, apparently she was the last experiment the empire used this method on" Ignis spoke up knowing exactly what Augustine was the moment she saw the ears and tail.

Prompto couldn't help but feel his heart break knowing she was left her alone to transform; he wishes there was a way to help her get out of this place; once the boys gathered the item Cindy asked Prompto looked back down the stairs when they returned to the surface thinking about her still in there.

"You guys go set up camp, I'm just going to wait here for a bit" Prompto said taking a seat by the stairs looking down there letting the other go ahead to the camp site that was a few miles away from here.

The sun was slowly setting while Prompto still sat there by the entrance, but the sound of footsteps caught his attention; bringing his attention to see Augustine slowly walking up the stairs with her head down looking nervous but she stopped next to Prompto still looking down at the ground.

"It'll be okay, I know what it's like being different" Prompto said to her showing her his wrist that showed a bar code.

Augustine looked at Prompto in surprise before showing him her own barcode on her wrist, seeing her tense muscles relax once she knew Prompto's secret even if he didn't fully understand but knowing someone knew what she went through made her slowly think she could trust him and maybe his friends to help her return to the world she never knew that was slowly changing now.
