I was trying to reach out to Sang-woo so he can me Jae-Dal. He wasn't answering. Was I even shocked at this point? No. But it still upset me. I call my best friend to come watch Jae-Dal while I go get some stuff done. She wasted no time coming over. She loves Jae-Dal.

"Okay love you guys. I'll be back later." I kiss Jae-Dal's head before leaving. I walk down to the subway and sit on the bench as I wait for the train. As I wait this man in a suit sits next to me with a suitcase. I don't pay much attention to him. Until he opens his suitcase next to me. It had tons of money in it and two folded up origami squares.

"Excuse me, miss? Have you ever played ddakji?" He picks up the paper squares.

"Of course." I nod. I used to play it all the time with the boys as a kid.

"Play some ddakji with me. And everytime you win you earn 10,000 won. I win and you give the same back." He offers. I consider it for a second but I'm already struggling financially as is.

"I would but I personally don't have that kind of money." I refuse.

"You could pay with your body?" My head snaps to him with wide eyes.

"Excuse me?" I mean he was attractive but that was out of pocket.

"I slap you to take off 10,000 everytime you lose." He explains.

"Oh." I knew that.

Round after round. Slap after slap. And for some goddamn reason I couldn't get it. I pick up my square and throw it at his. Doesn't flip. He picks his up and throws it down. Oh but mine will flip everytime okay. I look at him. He slaps me across my face. My face stung.

"I haven't even been slapped this much in bed." I joke earning a chuckle from him. I try again. Picking up my square I prepare to fail again. I throw it down. His flips over. Oh my god! I hold my hand out. "Now pay up. You don't get to slap me that much and not pay me for it." I wink. He places the cash in my hand.

"Would you be interested in playing more games like this?" He offers.

"There's more games where hot guys slap me for money?" I raise an eyebrow. He just holds out business card.

"Call if you are interested." I look at the card with shapes on it. Then turn it over to reveal the number. I look back up and he was gone. Weird. I use the money I earned to get food for the house and buy a toy for Jae-Dal.

I stop up by Ms. Cho's shop. I didn't have work today so I will just stop up by and see her. As soon as she sees me her face lights up.

"Rae-Jin, dear it's nice to see you." She smiles.

"Hi. How has it been today?" I ask.

"Good. Good." She nods. She looks behind me and waves.

"Gi-hun." I look behind me to see my old best friend. It was obvious he had gotten older but he still looked really good. He walks over and looks at me with a smile.

"Hi." I wave.

"How have you been?" He asks. I just shrug. Ms. Cho hands us both bags.

"Thank you." We both say before leaving.

"How about you? How have you been?" I look at him as we walk together.

"I've been okay. Got a divorce." He sighs. Why would she ever divorce him? She mad a mistake obviously.

"That's got to be hard. I've been a single mother for nine eight years." I bite my lip.

"Oh wow I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know the father?" He looks over at me worriedly.

"It's not you if that's what you are asking." I reassure. He nods seeming a bit disappointed. "You can meet him if you want." I offer.

"Really? I'd love that." He smiles. We walk to my house and let him inside.

"I'm home!" I call. Jae-Dal runs out I set my stuff down and hug him. "Hey, kiddo. Guess what I got you." I smile. I pull out the toy.

"It's the one I want!" He says excitedly.

"Of course." I laugh and kiss his head. He runs to his room. I stand up as my best friend walks over. "Gi-hun this is Soo-jin. Soo-jin this is Gi-hun one of my childhood friends." She pulls me aside.

"You don't plan on hooking up with him right?" She whispers.

"What? No. What's wrong with you?" I scoff.

"You just don't need anymore childhood friends getting you pregnant. You struggle enough as is without another kid in the mix." She crosses her arms.

"It's not like that. Now you can go home." I huff. She rolls her eyes before grabbing her stuff.

"See you later." She says before leaving, giving Gi-hun a warning look as she passes by him.

"Sorry she's protective of me. After some of the shit I was put through I don't blame her." I explain.

"It's fine." He chuckles. I lead him to the living room.

Want a water or something?" I offer.

"Do you have any beer?" He asks.

"Um... Maybe not that." I didn't need a repeat of the last time we drank together. He nods.

"Okay..." We sit down together.

"So your son... He's Sang-woo's?" He seemed awkward about asking it.

"He looks that much like him?" I groan.

"Pretty much a carbon copy of Sang-woo as a kid." He laughs.

"Yeah." I giggle. Reminds me of when we were kids. So carefree. We never had to worry. Now we are adults. I'm in debt and struggling to even support my child let alone myself. I wish life were still that easy.

Later that night after Gi-hun had left I was tucking in Jae-Dal. I kiss his head.

"Mommy? When will we get a bigger house? This one feels cramped." We currently shared one bedroom. I sigh.

"I'm trying, honey." I stroke his hair. "Now get some sleep." I stand up then walk out of the room. I shut the door. I collapse onto the living room couch and pull out my phone. The business card from earlier gets pulled out with it. I look at it. I needed it. I put the number in and call the number. It rings for a minute.

"Hello?" A raspy voice answers.

"I... I would like to join your games."
