Hogwarts sixth year
1971
-"This school is actually taking the piss"
Daisy groaned and threw her head down onto the dining table, Rue and Thurman jumping at the loud collision.
The night after the sorting went quickly and a new day approached, luckily it was a free day without any lessons as Dumbledore allowed Firsts years to get settled for a day, allowing them to wonder and discover where they needed to go; encouraging them to ask older years any questions they needed answering.
Thurman, Rue and Daisy were currently eating breakfast at the Hufflepuff table, Thurman having left his Gryffindor friends to go and eat with his girlfriend and-would be best friend- Daisy. He would say she was his best friend if Rue hadn't said that Daisy was her best friend only. She was very passionate about the whole one best friend thing and had claimed Daisy's as hers. It was like they were ten years old but it was quite funny.
Thurman pulled Daisys head up to make sure she was okay whilst Rue continued eating her pancakes, used to the Beckett girl doing such things.
"What do you mean?" The Hufflepuff asked, adding more syrup to her pancakes. She laughed as her boyfriend gently placed Daisy's head back down onto the table once he made sure there was no nosebleed or bruising, he was like a panicked dad.
"Double potions, fucking double potions. Now don't get me wrong, I love sluggy but I can only tolerate him for an hour not two!" Daisy brought her head up only to slam it back down again making Thurman hold a hand to his chest, that girl was about to break her bastard nose.
"Whos it with?" Rue wondered, hopping she would say the same class as her. Thurman also hoped that they would have potions together but it was rare that Hufflepuffs were ever with Gryffindors for potions or transfigurations, it was always Slytherins or Ravenclaws.
"Slytherins, first and second period tomorrow" Daisy told her making her clap in glee, now feeling happy about her class time table.
"I have that class too!"
"Oh, thank god" the Beckett girl sighed in relief, her and Rue clasping their hands together in excitement. Daisy's hard work had finally moved her up a set meaning she would now be in higher graded classes with the likes of Rue. She'd have to thank Elton for forcing her to study.
"Oh look at that little bastard" Rue all of a sudden sneered, looking over to the Ravenclaw table where Gabriel was being fawned over by his friends for his still unfixed broken nose, he was too prided to go to Madam Pomfrey and ask her to magically fix it for him.
Mina Chang was stood behind him giving him a dirty look, her brother having to drag her away from trying to throttle him. She caught Daisy's eye and sent a wave, Daisy sending one back along with a wink before she turned to keep glaring at Gabriel.
Mina was a Slytherin in her year, one of the nicest Slytherins she knew. They became friends in third year and she grew close with their friendship group, it was very rare that she and Daisy weren't partners in the classes they shared; teachers thought they were great role models for eachother.
"I know exactly what I'm gonna do" Daisy spoke aloud, glaring at him from her place next to Thurman, the boy raising a brow suspiciously.
"What?" He asked, Rue leaning over to listen. She loved Daisy's plans.
"I'm gonna wait till his nose is fixed, and then, I'm gonna break it again" she said confidently, smirking as Gabriel looked over at her but then reverted his eyes quickly, a scared look on his face at her glare. He knew she shouldn't have said what he did to Heather, but no one was listening to him and he snapped. He never treated Heather fairly and he knew it but he couldn't tell anyone why, he'd definitely need to speak to Daisy to get her on his side. He didn't fancy being on the receiving end of one of her punches, they were a lot worse than Heathers.
