"Awh look, a Kitty"

Daisy smiled as she walked into the transfiguration classroom and saw a cat on the table, she beamed as she practically ran over to it and picked it up, stoking it's soft fur whilst cooing at it.

"I don't think-" Rue shook her head with wide eyes, knowing those beady eyes anywhere. That definitely wasn't no ordinary cat.

"Dais" Daisy looked up from where she was stroking the cat and gave her friend a confused look until Rue started mouthing something to her making her eyes widen and strokes still.

"oh fuck...I just pet McGonagall. Didn't I?"

"Yes you did" the cat jumped out of her old and turned into that of McGonagall, an amused look on her face as Daisy scrambled to look all over the classroom and start to whistle. It wasn't the first time she had done that to McGonagall,but in her defence how was she meant to know that the cat was an animagus and not an actual cat.

"Minnie! Oh my god when did you get here!" She feigned shock, eyes going wide and mouth dropping.

"Detention Beckett" McGonagall said, the words not being foreign from her lips; she held a little smile as she said them, knowing the detention wouldn't actually be a harsh punishment for Daisy.

"Oh for f-I mean i absolutely cant wait" she did a little happy dance causing both Rue and McGonagall to snicker with a shake of their heads.

"Don't worry miss Beckett, a few students will be joining you tonight in detention" McGonagall brushed off her robes as she made her way towards her desk, Daisy raising a brow at the mention of students joining her in detention.

"Oh? Who?"

"Does the names Lupin, Black, Pettigrew and Potter ring a bell?" smiled the professor, knowing from the way the four boys never stopping talking about the sixth year that she was close with them.

"What've they done?" The Hufflepuff girl asked curiously, leaning against the front table with a mischievous glint in her eye. Not even a month into school and they were already getting detentions, those kids were definitely mischief managers like herself.

"Only filled young Severus Snapes trunk with spiders" McGonagall sighed, shaking her head at the memory of her and Slughorn having to try and remove over a hundred spiders from the Slytherin boys dorm room at such early hours in the morning.

"Really?!" Daisy snorted, quickly covering her mouth when McGonagall sent her a stern look.

"Yes, they did"

"Wicked, I knew those kids were a right laugh" she couldn't contain her laughed that time, just thinking about them sneaking into the Slytherins dormitory and dunking loads of spiders in someone's trunk had her rolling.

"Daisy!" Rue and McGonagall scolded at the same time, Rue slapping her on the arm whilst hiding her amusement.

"I mean, oh no that's so bad. You'd never catch me doing that" she shook her head dramatically, a fake sigh leaving her lips.

"Go take your seat miss Beckett" McGonagall chuckled fondly, wafting the girl away to go and sit at the back of the class before the other students started to arrive.
