"Nento!" I hear Ashido's voice from behind.
Shinsou and I turn to her. In the end, we watched the rest of the fights, and we were about to leave. Seems like class A really stands out. The girl stops right in front of us.
"I wanted to check on you, but I didn't find you at the infirmary. Are your arms and legs okay?"
I answer with a nod while Shinsou stays quiet. I got changed into the school uniform so I wasn't wearing a full of holes gym suit.
"I'm glad. Great job, by the way! You made it hard for me to beat you, you know?"
"It's getting late. We should leave." Shinsou sounds pissed.
Who am I kidding? We're both pissed."Ah, right..." That caught her off guard. "I'll see you around then." She waves at us and walks away.

Shinsou's POV
There's nothing I can say to cheer her up. I can't lie to her. We didn't win. And no one noticed her like they did with me. I just hope she won't be too hard on herself. But it's not like I'm the best example to say that. And for some reason, Aizawa asked to talk to me after class.
"Take a sit."
He points at the couch in front of the one he's sitting on, and I do as he says.
"I'm sure you don't know why you're here."I just shake my head. His stare is so deadly he absolutely would win a staring contest.
"It's about the Sports Festival. Everyone saw your fight with Midoriya. What do you think about your quirk?"
I think for a moment, looking at my lap.
"It's not useful in combat. And I'm not strong enough in a hand to hand.""You're right and wrong. It is useful, you're just not strong enough."
"What do you mean?" I ask as I lift my gaze.
"I want you to enter the hero course."
My eyes widen in shock. He's not serious, is he?
"I always believed the entrance exam wasn't fair for people like you. But I know you have potential. If you're determined to become a hero, I'll teach you how to fight."
"You'll train me?"
"Only if you want to."
I suddenly stand up.
"Of course I want to!"
"Perfect." He replies as he stands up as well. "I'll come get you in the afternoon."
"Wait!" I stop him before he can leave. "What about Kanjo?"
He raises an eyebrow. "Kanjo?"
"Yeah... Nento Kanjo. She's my... She's a classmate who participated at the Sports Festival. She fought against Ashido Mina."
"Ah, right. I remember her. I admit she went far. But there wasn't much to see in there."
That's not fair. Kanjo trained her quirk and gave everything she had to win. Just like everyone else.
"Could you... maybe give her a chance?"
"You want me to train her too?"
"Like you said, the entrance exam might be not fair. Her quirk has potential just like mine. It's just... no one gave her the chance to show it."
Aizawa thinks for a moment before giving his answer.
"Alright. But I warn you. If it's not useful, she stays in General Studies."
"Thank you, Aizawa sensei." I say as I bow at him.
I soon celebrate in my mind and smile relieved as the teacher leaves the room. These are gonna be such good news for her!

Kanjo's POV
Shinsou left to talk with Aizawa sensei in the lunch break, so I just walked to the cafe on my own. It was crowded like usual, but I wasn't so stressed like before. I got my tray with the food and sat alone in our usual table. I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. But unfortunately, someone always has to be an annoyance.
"Hey Nento."
It's one of my classmates. She sits in front of me with her own tray.
"Oh, you got a salad? Gotta stay healthy, huh?"
Actually, I got that because I wasn't hungry. I know she tries to be nice, but I can see in her eyes just pity.
"You don't have to do this." I stare at my food as I put some of it in my mouth.
"Do what?"
"Cheering me up."
There's suddenly and awkward silence between us.
"Kanjo!"
I lift my head to that familiar voice.
"Shin..." I whisper as he gets closer.
The girl feels like a bother so she just takes the tray and stands up to leave.
"I'm sorry."
That's the last thing I hear from her before Shinsou takes a sit next to me.
"Guess what?"
"What?" Why is he so excited?
"Aizawa sensei will train us!"
I look at him speechless and he holds my shoulders.
"He thinks we can become heroes!"
Shinsou's POV
Why's isn't she jumping with excitement? This is what we wanted! Someone noticed our efforts!
"That's why Aizawa sensei called you?"
"Yeah! He'll come get us in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity!"
"Why didn't he call me then?"
Oh shit... Once again, the painful reality shows me I can't lie to her.
"I... suggested he should train you. Because I know you have potential as well!"
"So he didn't really notice me either." She looks away disappointed.
"Hey." I cup her cheek to make her look at me. "Prove him wrong. Show what you couldn't at the Sports Festival."
I can feel a bit of hope in her.
"Okay. I'll try."
