River POV

So, um, George cut his hair, and Derek and Meredith are talking again, as "friends". George had also been living with Burke and Cristina and we got to hear about it every hour. "Burke says he's got "issues", you should see them together. They're, like, doing things, like running and cooking and talking. They're, like, bonding," Cristina told us as we slowly walked up the stairs and I will not admit it was because of me.

"And you're afraid Burke will realize he makes a better girlfriend than you?" Izzie asked and I gave her an amused look, she apparently had read my mind.

"What are you, River?" Cristina commented. Oh, guess she thought the same thing. Cristina and Izzie were trying to get Meredith to apologize, which she has, but George is a stubborn one.

"What's up with O'Malley's hair? He looks like a hobbit," Alex said from behind us.

"He's just trying a new look," Izzie excused, and now those two were going off at each other especially seeing the little connection between Izzie and Denny who arrived back here.

"Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, I'm Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd," not for loooong, "I'm gonna be covering for Dr. Pollack," Addison said, guiding us into a room.

"Mrs. Gibson had a preterm, premature rupture of her membranes at 28 weeks," Meredith said.

"She's been confined to supervised bed rest for seven weeks and has a low-grade fever," I spoke up.

"Can't you just schedule a "C"? Mrs. Gibson asked an already stunned Addison. I think she forgot Meredith and I were here. Meredith and Mark had a good laugh once I told them what I had to help Addison with the other day. "Believe me, I'm ready to have this baby," she continued. I really just think she's tired of being pregnant and on bed rest, I'm pregnant and walking for up to twelve hours, yeah, I'd like a bit of bed rest. The best part of this was Mr. Gibson obviously flirting with Addison. We walked back out and Bailey's pager went off for a consult in the E.R.

"O'Malley, Grey, why don't you go ahead and take that?" Oooo strike four and five. Her not noticing Meredith, strike one, not noticing me, I'm a bit hard to miss these says, strike two, the husband of one of her patients flirting with her, strike three, putting George and Meredith on the same thing, strike four, since when does the E.R. need an intern as a consult, strike five.

"What about Mrs. Gibson?" Meredith asked while George also made his own excuse.

"Are you taking him to the nursery?" Addison asked Bailey who was trying to calm down her son.

"No, it's full and Tucker's out of town till tomorrow," Bailey said.

"Wow, you brought your baby to work?" the Chief asked coming by, not being able to tell that Bailey is a bit stressed. Bailey went of on him that she wouldn't have to bring her baby into surgery unless there was a problem and then she would find someone. Addison defended her stance while I stood behind the two and the three of us gave him look, "Is there a problem, Chief?" I asked behind them.

"Uh, no."

There was a patient coming in by ambulance, "You said Mark is visiting you today?" Bailey asked me. I nodded, he would actually be here any minute, "Good, experience for you both," and she handed me her baby, while Cristina looked at me wide-eyed. I walked back in and saw the little awkward interaction between George and Callie, before they walked off, "George trying to get some? And is that Bailey's baby?" I heard Mark's voice.

"It won't last, and the nursery was full," I said.

"Why won't it last?" Mark asked, taking the baby who must've liked us because he has been calm. I turned to look back at him as the two left, "Because Callie is more into vaginas and hasn't admitted it yet. She always stared at the women more than the guys but doesn't notice she's doing it," I said and we walked off to a quieter room so he could show me some houses, but then there was a smell.

"Oh, God, what was he eating that resulted in that smell?" Mark questioned, his voice full of disgust. "Where's the diapers?" was all I asked. Marl went through the bag and picked out the diapers and halfway through changing him, the door opened revealing the Chief, "River, Mark, what's that smell?" okay, now I'm wanting to know what he ate that you could smell through a door.

"Apparently Tuck ate something really good, cause apparently you can smell the poop through the door," I said, "You wanna help?"

"No, no, I'm good. Good practice for you both," Chief said and closed the door again. After getting him successfully changed, Mark and I decided it might be better to go outside and Mark finally pulled out his phone and papers, "Okay, under the precaution that we have more than one child and we don't want to move, I found three four bedroom houses. That way we can have guest rooms and have some wiggle room if we have another child. I did like this one—what's wrong?" he said seeing my disgusted look.

"Nothing about the house, so far I like it, but I just realized the one patient's husband is now trying to flirt with Addison again, and that I am holding milk that came out Miranda Bailey's boobs," I said. Mark started laughing, and even harder seeing Addison's annoyed look. I could hear Cristina, Meredith, and Izzie arguing about George and then Alex slammed his tray down, startling Tuck, "Thanks Alex!" I said rather loudly. My unborn baby had also jumped which was not a comfortable feeling. Addison jumped realizing Mark and I were near her, but we were already walking away, Mark quickly taking Tuck for me. We walked past Derek and Meredith who was complaining about our fellow interns, "I hate them. I do," Meredith said.

"Yeah, well right now, I hate them too," I said as Mark and I walked by.

"Hi Mark!" Meredith replied.

"Hi Meredith," Mark responded. We were already at the end of the walkway and I could see Derek had not moved an inch since we walked by. "You know, there is gonna be a day where he comes to Meredith's house and you're in the kitchen half naked," I said. Well I do make him get me midnight snacks since I had difficulty getting up, and he doesn't sleep in a shirt.

Bailey came by later to pick up her son, "Oh, that's a nice house," she said, looking at the house Mark liked. I had been convinced to see the house, we were going to the next day and Mark was getting ready to make the appointment to see the house again. But then the elevator stopped and we turned to see Derek had been in the elevator too. "Let me talk," Derek said after Mark out his phone back down, "I had been led to believe different things for so long, and it was the wrong thing to believe, and I am working through it, but I would like to talk again, like old times," he said to Mark. Mark nodded and Derek restarted the elevator and we left for the day.
