River POV

It was my first day back, Callie had officially moved in, but she had been staying at Meredith's house with George more. It was understandable because Rosie hasn't managed to sleep through the night yet. Meredith then called, "Two things," she said when I picked up.

"What?"

"First off, Izzie's coming to the hospital," Meredith started.

I smiled, "Oh, that's great. Right? Izzie coming back is great?" I questioned and Mark, who had been getting Rosie dressed looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Yes, it's great. Second, Callie totally just dropped the towel she was wearing in front of me and George just to see how moody he would get. He wants her to move out, she's just pushing it," Meredith continued. I let out a loud laugh, hearing Rosie giggle at the sound and said, "He does know Callie's not moved in right? She's just staying there until Rosie sleeps longer," I asked.

"I don't think he realizes it because he keeps asking me to kick her out because she's here all the time," Meredith said. "By the way, it's actually three things," she added.

"Oh no, what is it now. Did you have a fantasy with Derek and somebody else?" I joked and then heard silence, "Oh, you did, with who?"

"Derek and Finn...our vet," she admitted.

"Oooooooh, I'm a little offended you didn't fantasize about Mark," I joked, now hearing Mark laugh. "I'm surprised too," Meredith responded. She knew I wouldn't be offended, as long as she didn't try to make the fantasy actually happen. The man is hot; I wouldn't blame her for having the fantasy.

"Anyway," Meredith continued, "Are you taking Rosie with you, or do you want to get picked up?"

"Mark has to go into the hospital too, so we'll have Rosie," I responded. Mark has been having meetings with the previous head of plastics to learn about long time patients like burn victims. I had been taking Rosie to the daycare more to get her adjusted to being there while I waited to get the green light to start work officially.

We pulled up to the hospital the same time as the others, Izzie was walking in with a determined look and Callie was trying to annoy George again, she was trying to get him to admit what he thinks to her, to be honest with her. We caught up with Meredith, Mark giving her a smirk and she smacked him on the arm because she knew he was teasing her about the fantasy she had. Then Izzie stopped, making us all stop, "Izzie?" Meredith called.

"I'll see you guys in there," she said.

"Everything's gonna be fine. Bailey is on your side. The chief is...he is gonna put on his angry face, but he's on your side, too," Meredith told her. Good thing my dad went back to New Jersey, he would have just told her she had been stupid in the first place.

"Everybody wants you back in that building," George spoke up.

"I know. I know. You guys go ahead. I'll be fine. I'm just going to take a minute, practice my speech," Izzie said. The others accepted the answer, but I told her, "If you don't want to come in today, that's okay. You already took a big step in coming here."

"You've progressed a lot," Mark added before we walked in, leaving Izzie behind. I kissed Mark goodbye as he headed off to find the doctor he's replacing, I dropped of Rosie at the daycare with some breast milk and headed off for the lockers. "She's back!" Cristina cheered seeing me.

"How's Burke?" Meredith asked as we walked out.

"Being McAss," Cristina said.
