When It Rains

Cloud burst

Anu opened her eyes slowly. She is still feeling dizziness. She looked around. The place looked like a godown having a foul smell. She didn't understand anything. She tried to recollect the memory. She remembered she fainted after drinking the juice given by Kiran.

"What happened to me? Where is Nandettan? " She cried loudly.

She heard a small movement beside her. Anand was lying there. He was also trying to open his eyes. Anu hugged him and called his name loudly. He woke up and hugged her back. He also
took few minutes to understand where they were lying. He felt something fishy. Is Kiran betraying us? Did he trap us? What is his intention. Or something happened to him too? Anand called Kiran's name loudly. He knocked in the door. Someone opened it. An unfamiliar man wearing 'mundu' entered into the room.

" you woke up prince and princess. Welcome to my kingdom".

Anand and Anu stood there with question mark on their face.
"Who is this fellow?" ;
That was their doubt.
That man said, "Though we never met earlier, you know about me. I am Sathyan. I am the one who trapped your father. Now I am here to give some deserving presents to you both."

By hearing this both their blood boiled. Anand jumped on him and caught Sathyan's shirt's collar.

"Who are you? Why did you hurt us? What we have done to you? What is the relation between you and Kiran? ; Anand asked all these question in one breath.

" Like father like son. Caught my collar and asked a lot of questions in one breath. You will get answers for all your questions. But I don't have time to explain it to you. I have someone to tell you the story." After telling this he called Kiran's name.

Kiran entered into the room with a crooked smile.

"Sorry dears. I never wanted to trap you both. But I am forced to do it because of my past. Do you know who I am? I am Kiran Sivan. And I have a sister . You both know her . Deepa Sivan."

Anand and Anu looked each other shockingly.

Kiran continued the story;

"This is my chittappan ( in malayalam chittappan means father's younger brother). Sathyan . My father Sivan's younger brother. Now you will ask who is Sivan and Sathyan." ; Kiran started telling the whole story.

Even after hearing the story, both Anand and Anu didn't understand anything. Actually still they can't believe that they are just victims of a revenge to their grand father. They never knew the existence of their grand parents. They never heard anything about them. They never met them. They never got any love or care from their grand parents. Then why this revenge ? Why they got targeted?

Kiran again explained;

" When my sister was just one year old, my mother gave poison to us. She too consumed it. We lost our mother but we both survived. Our father committed suicide. My aunty committed suicide. My chittappan went to jail. In front of my eyes my grand mother burnt herself. I couldn't do anything. I was holding my sister in my hands then. And my grand father became lunatic. Nobody would help us. My grand father would ran in the street like a street dog. One day grand father went missing . We became orphans. I starved for days. My deepa would cry for milk. I didn't know what to do. I would beg in the street for food by holding my sister in my arms. Everything happened because of your demon great grand father and your grand father. Do you think that this much reasons are not enough to hurt your family?"

Anand replied ;
"Yes, Still these are not enough reasons to us. We four have no connection with our grand parents. We don't owe anything to them. Then why you people are hurting us?"

"Oh, still not enough for me.Then
what if your sister is getting molested in front of your eyes? What will you do if someone sexually abuse her in front of your eyes". Kiran asked angrily.
