When It Rains

Rain Storm

         Ben was getting ready to leave Fort Kochi.  He had done everything to help Asok and Archana.  He is happy now.  But still he want to search for Anu.  Ben always had a feel that, Kiran was trying to hide something from him.  He wanted to know what it is.  He asked him, 

"Is it about Anu? you look so worried? You are suffering . If you can tell,  please tell me what it is. I can help you to reduce your burden. Anyway I know you won't do anything to hurt Doctor and his family.  I am so happy to see all of them. So, please tell me. What is haunting you?"

      Ben compelled him to tell the truth.  Kiran told him everything on the way to Bangalore.

       Ben wanted to meet his childhood friend Derik who was working in Chennai US Consulate.  He wanted a road trip . Then Kiran asked him " do you want to see Bangalore.  Anyway you visited India, then don't miss our garden city.  Once it was a garden having thousand lakes , but now it is crowded like a metropolitan city with long queue of vehicles, traffic jams, and multi storied buildings.  Still don't miss it.  I have to go to Bangalore for my business meeting.  I am going in my car.  So, you come with me.  We can book your flight from Chennai.  From Bangalore you will get Sleeper coach buses to Chennai.  Morning you will reach Chennai.  "  Ben agreed for that. 

       He said Good Bye to Asok and his family.  And promised them that he will come back with Jessica again.  He was ready to come for anything related to Asok's case.  And he hoped next time when he come he could meet their children too. He told them like that.  And he left with Kiran. 

       While they were doing window shopping in Forum mall, Kiran had a familiar feeling, he felt Anu's presence. His heartbeat increased.  He saw a girl look like Anu.  He again and again looked at her.  Not alike,  it was she...It was Anu ! He called..... 

"Anu...Anamika....Anu"

The girl turned back.  Stared him ... got shocked, then ran away with a cry.

"Ajay....Ajay...help me , help me....he will kill me, help me" She cried and she was calling someone. 

Kiran chased her.  

"Anu, please stop.  I won't kill you.... Anu please"

When Ben came out from a watch shop, Kiran was missing. He looked around. Then he dialed his number.  But Kiran didn't pick it.  He was behind Anu.

   Anu ran quickly and bumped into a man. A very handsome man having a stern look with strong physique . She looked up and hugged him tightly.  She was scared. Even if she was scared she shouldn't hug any other man like that.  Kiran had that old fuming jealousy formation again. "Who is he...he hugs her back and she is not showing any resistance" , it was Kiran's self talk.

     Kiran stood in front of that man who was hugging Anu. Kiran ignored him and said.

"Anu please look at me.  I am sorry for everything. I won't harm you anymore. I want you to forgive me.  Please hear my words.  I have a lot to tell.  Please talk to me".

     But Anu hugged that man even more tightly.  She hid her face in his embrace.

      She cried to him, "Ajay, please don't give me to him.  He is a betrayer. He is a criminal.  He will kill me.  He killed my parents, He killed my brother."

      Anu shivered heavily and had a seizure.  In her life she never had symptoms of epilepsy. Kiran never knew about it.  Definitely she is not an epilepsy patient.  But she had seizure because of over stress and shock.  She couldn't withstand that moment.  She never thought that she would meet Kiran again in her life.  when she saw him, she suddenly gone back to that past horrible incidents.
